Click for full story. While the Sixers front office pats itself on the back for drafting Moe Harkless and Arnett Moultrie, two guys projected to go in the top 20, in reality they've added similar pieces to a roster in desperate need of skills these guys do not possess.

Click for full story. Since Josh Harris and Co. took over control of the Sixers, they haven't done a thing to put their thumbprint on the roster. Mo Speights was shipped out, that's pretty much it. Tonight, we're going to get our first glimpse into where this team is headed. Will they trade up? Will they look to improve upon their second-round exit this past season? Will they take a step back in the hopes of taking several steps forward in the coming years? Or will they simply bring back Spencer Hawes, Lou Williams and Elton Brand, perhaps even trade away their first round pick in tonight's draft to add a veteran to the mix? Your guess is as good as mine, I'm just relieved to get our first glimpse into the future of the franchise. Live chat/blog throughout the night to follow.

Click for full story. On Draft Eve the Sixers lame-duck, emasculated general manager seems content with the number 15 pick, and perfectly happy to take a passive approach to the draft, so I'll do the same.

Click for full story. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo reported yesterday the Sixers interviewed San Antonio Spurs executive Danny Ferry over the weekend to discuss a president/general manager position. As if a potential front office shakeup isn't enough news, Woj also reported a deeper motive for all of the action. Namely, Thorn's departure from the President of Basketball Operations position is directly tied to Doug Collins' pleas for autonomy when it comes to player personnel.

Click for full story. Coming into the season, I had big hopes for Jrue. In his third year, I expected him to take a big step forward and assert himself as a leader on the team and a top-ten point guard in the league. Things didn't quite go as planned, though there's definitely reason for hope.
