This has been a miserable sports day for me beginning to end. Mussina stunk up the joint tonight, Tavarez owned the Yanks. The bats returned to their hibernating ways after facing an early deficit. That’s pretty much all I have to say about this 7–3 loss.
The only positives for the Yanks are Okajima (29 pitches) and Papelbon (25 pitches) had to work hard to secure a game that was pretty much a foregone conclusion, and I’d be surprised if either is available tomorrow night.
The Yankees MUST win tomorrow night.
