M.L.B. has spoken, and Roger Clemens will be given a 5-game suspension for plunking a Blue Jay in retaliation the other night. Joe Torre also got one game. In the grand scheme of things, if timed right, a 5-game suspension could just mean an extra day of rest for Clemens, but someone is going to have to make that fifth start. Hopefully, it won't be Jeff Karstens, DeSalvo or Clippard. Ian Kennedy gets my vote. It'd be nice if the missed start didn't happen against the Tribe, Tigers or Sox either. We'll have to wait and see.
