Sixers

, all the time

The Yanks battled back from an 8–0 deficit in the 2nd inning today to tie the game at 8–8. Then they fell behind 11–8, before closing the gap to 11–9, then Kyle Farnsworth came in.

So far, he’s thrown two-thirds of an inning and given up two solo home runs. A two-run deficit is a bloop and a blast, a four-run lead is a big rally. Put the big lurch on waivers, if someone is stupid enough to claim him, you let him become their problem.

There is no place on this team for him. He can’t pitch in games that are even remotely close. He can’t pitch on back-to-back days, he never shuts his mouth. He finally recorded the third out of the top of the eighth and he was showered with boos as he left the field.

Maybe he’ll just quit, or take the Pavano’s way out and fake an injury.

I’m sick to my stomach.

UPDATE: 2 Days ‘til Phil Hughes. I couldn’t bring myself to watch the replay of the game, listening to most of it was painful enough.

Player of The Game: Bobby Abreu, 3 for 5, 2 runs, 2 RBI, 1 HR.
