The Yanks ended their losing streak at one with a sound thumping of the K.C. Royals at the Stadium tonight. Still no bomb for A-Rod, but if the Yanks win at this pace the rest of the season, I don’t care if he never gets it.

Tomorrow is the big day, Phil Hughes will return to the rotation against the Royals.

Shelley Duncan played tonight, and played well. We’ll see if Joe rides the hot hand tonight, or sits him back on the end of the bench tomorrow. No letter to the skipper tonight, but I do have one observation. Joe used Vizcaino with a 5–run lead in the eighth tonight. The last time he did this, the next day he used Farnsworth in a 2–run game the following day. Let’s hope this isn’t a pattern.

Player of the Game: Chien-Ming Wang, 7 IP, 1 earned, 7 hits, 1 BB, 3 Ks.
