I'll be back after the game with more thoughts, but here's a quick breakdown of Joba's night.

2.1 IP, 2 ER, 1H, 4BB, 3K, 62 pitches.

Here's the inning by inning breakdown:

1st Inning (38 pitches)
Fastballs: 25
Curves: 3
Sliders: 10
Change-ups: 0

2nd Inning (16 pitches)
Fastballs: 14
Curves: 0
Sliders: 2
Change-ups: 0

3rd Inning (8 pitches)
Fastballs: 7
Curves: 0
Sliders: 1
Change-ups: 0

I'm not sure why Girardi yanked Joba after only 62 pitches. He told anyone who would listen that he was good for 70-75 and Joba could've gotten out of the inning with those 8-13 pitches.

I heard the limit was 65 going into the game.

    I heard 65, 65-70, 70 and 70-75.

Fair enough. It's amazing what a difference 10 pitches makes.
