With Opening Day about 14 hours away I have a tough decision to make. Do I DVR the game and watch it when I get home or do I listen at work and then catch the end of the game over lunch at a neighborhood bar. I'd prefer to watch it when I get home, but the odds of making it through the day without hearing or seeing the results are pretty low. Anyway, I'll figure it out. In the mean time, General Joe Girardi is set to pour himself his first cup of green tea as the Yankees' skipper, so it's about time he got his first letter from yours truly.

You can expect your full dose of Yankee coverage going forward, so check in here for a recap and some thoughts tomorrow. Let's go Yanks.

Thanks Alex. I doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight. It's going to be a great season.

Mussina vs. McGowan in game 2, not exactly a great match-up. Then Hughes in game 3, Kennedy in game 4, Pettitte on Saturday in game 5.
