From MLB.com found via Was Watching, Andy Pettitte will either exercise his $16M player option and pitch for the Yankees in 2008, or he will retire. There will be no opting out and peddling his wares on the free agent market. Check out the story, Pettitte is a class act, unlike a certain ex-Yankee who I don't feel like talking about for a while.

Great news, if he stays. If he retires he will be missed, but at least we won't have to watch him pitch for someone else. Come back, Andy.

Yes, Come back, ANDY! There are no strong lefties on the Yankees!

Even more reason to go after Santana. The Yankees would look great with two lefties in their starting rotation.

Now if only Mussina would retire......

I had to "tag" you. Jack Cobra made me do it, so don't blame me. See my site for the info.
