syringe0206.jpgBonds, apparently, has better friends. While Greg Anderson spent three months behind bars in lieu of testifying against Barry Bonds, Brian McNamee is serving the Rocket up on a silver platter. According to the Daily News, McNamee showed up to Congress with a treasure-trove of hard evidence of Roger Clemens' steroid and HGH use.

Here's the money quote from the article:
McNamee's attorneys would not discuss the details of the evidence, but according to a source close to the former Yankee strength and conditioning coach, McNamee gave the Justice Department's BALCO investigators vials with traces of steroids and growth hormone, as well as blood-stained syringes and gauze pads that may contain the Rocket's DNA.
I'm sure Clemens will be quick with a denial. My best guess is that he says something like "Mac told me it was B-12," but his angry denials are becoming less and less convincing (If they were ever the least bit convincing to begin with). I still think he did it and no surly, indignant, mostly incoherent protestations are going to sway me in the other direction.

The question we need to ask ourselves is what kind of sick bastard saves used syringes and gauze pads? This whole thing just screams Monica Lewinsky to me. What a waste of time and money.
