Elton Brand, the Producer

True Hoop has a post today about how Elton Brand’s off-court activities could be affecting his game. Brand’s numbers dropped off this past season, and his foray into the Hollywood movie business has been pointed to as a possible reason.

The validity of this argument is debatable, but one thing I will give Brand, he’s produced a good movie. I saw his latest movie, Rescue Dawn this past weekend. Here’s the trailer.

I didn't go see the movie because Elton Brand produced it, I went because I'm a sucker for Vietnam movies and the main character's name is Dieter Dengler. I did notice Brand's name in the opening credits, but I thought it was a coincidence.
