Atop ESPN.com right now is a link to ESPN's newest high-tech toy, an automatic, interactive NBA power ranking machine, which updates nightly according to some ridiculous formula John Hollinger has come up with. Someone should call ESPN and let them know the stupid thing is broken already, because there's no way there should be 4 teams below the Sixers.

The machine has the Sixers ranked #26, the teams below include the Bobcats and Grizzlies, who both beat the Sixers easily in the past week, as well as the Hawks, who are riding a three-game winning streak. Defending champion Miami Heat are hovering at #24 on the list, I'd agree with that assessment.
