I saw it coming. I knew the Sixers were going to lose this game, and I knew it wasn't going to be pretty. But 124-74, even I didn't see that coming. Houston led wire to wire, the Sixers were outclassed in every imaginable way.
I don't have much to say about this one, except "F. You Jeff Van Gundy!" God, I hate that guy. Player of the game, Kevin Ollie because he was the only Sixer who didn't have a negative impact on this game. Mainly because he didn't get off the pine, 0 minutes played in a 50-point loss. Can you fall further down on the depth chart than that?
Next up for the Sixers is another round of punishment. At Detroit Tuesday night. Detroit is coming off a loss to the Mavs, so they should be looking for blood. This game was devastating, and the hundreds of fans still in the Wachovia Center when the final buzzer sounded serenaded the Sixers with the loudest boos I've heard all year, but it's not the end of the world. The magical 37-win number is still possible even with a loss at Detroit. The important thing to note is how these games affect the Sixers' morale. Can they bounce back from a blowout like this? Will they just pack it in and play out the string? My gut tells me no, but we're going to have to wait and see.

Good showing. This team is going places.
I'd leave the same comment on your blog entry for the Heat's loss to the Magic, but you don't have enough of a ball sack to actually write one when they lose.
I didn't write one Friday night when they won, either. I took the weekend off. You might want to consider doing the same before you become the Lawnmower man.
