The Sixers and Andre Iguodala's agent, Rob Pelinka, are in talks
to extend the Sixers' franchise player, and they're on the clock. The window to sign Andre to an extension is rapidly closing, it slams shut at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday night, and won't reopen until July, when he can become a restricted free agent.
It seems like both sides want to get this deal done now, which is a very good sign. If Iguodala continues to progress, it's going to take a max deal to keep him in Philly. Right now, the price is probably going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $60 million for 5 years. In my mind, that's a bargain and the Sixers need to get this done as soon as possible. You don't want a contract hanging over Andre's head the entire season.
