Well, it's a good thing I'm not a betting man because the Mavs couldn't cover the 15 point spread against the Sixers tonight, a garbage time hoop cut the Mavs lead to 93-79, the game ended with that score.
Not a whole lot to be happy about after this one. The Sixers did make a nice run in the third quarter, sparked by Iguodala taking the ball to the hole, and tough team defense. It wasn't nearly enough, though.
Webber sat out tonight, and just about said he wants out of Philly now that Iverson's gone. Not that it matter if Webber demands a trade, I'm sure Billy King is desperately trying to move his salary as well. That may be why they haven't pulled the trigger on a trade for Iverson yet, King is trying to get Webber included in the deal.
The ESPN shootaround guys made a good point tonight about Larry Brown's involvement in the Iverson situation in Philly. Basically, they said Brown is going to be on the market as a head coach in this league next season, there's no way you can trust him to provide advice that's in the Sixers' best interest at this point. Especially when he's already stabbed this franchise in the back, and Iverson can't be thrilled that Brown is involved now either. They didn't exactly part on the best of terms.
Player of the game tonight: Dalembert: He had 17 points, 7 boards and showed some nice moves on offense.
