Good news for all Temple fans out there. The Sixers
extended an invite to ex-Owl Dionte Christmas to participate in their training camp.
As much as I'd love to have a Christmas Holiday back court to write about all season long, I'd say the odds are firmly between slim and none that the Sixers sign Dionte. I think they're happy to go into the season with 13 players under contract and save the money it would cost to have another guy sit on the end of the bench in warmups every night.
Eagles opener today. I'll be writing about it over on
Don't Boo The Birds. The
Predicting 2010 Series will continue on Monday.
great to see they got a natural shooter. question is: is he a natural NBA player?
recommendation: when he doesnt make the team, give him some paper and convince him to sit his ass in D-League till he ups his game.
would hate to see another prospect get away from the sixers.
I don't think they can send him unless they sign him and I doubt they sign him if they aren't going to have him on the active roster. I'm not sure how a guy who isn't signed by any NBA teams works his way into the NBADL, but I'm pretty sure it's possible. Would like to see him get a chance somewhere.
