No word as of this writing as to whether Iguodala will play. Either way, it's hard to say you need a game when the odds are soundly against you getting it. There's a very good chance the Sixers will drop back to .500 tonight, but stranger things have happened. I can only assume Doug Collins had a few choice words for the guys after yesterday's loss. Let's hope we see the Jrue from the second half yesterday all night, and Bad Lou/Bad Thad didn't make the flight. They're going to need solid production from the bench after the extended minutes for the starters yesterday.

They missed a chance to win this game in the 2nd qtr. Blew a bunch of breaks and FT's that could have easily pushed the lead to 30. But now they are a small push from it being close.

What a half. Thad was beasting it and energetic as hell. Hawes good in his initial run. EB is giving it. Jodie has missed a couple of open ones but he should keep shooting it. Dre looks not as aggressive on the defensive end and settling on O instead of looking to attack, expected. Jrue was good. Lou wasn't bad and had some nice assists. Turner and Speights are better left unsaid.
2 more like those two and it'd be a fun plane ride home. And make Brian's trip soooo much more enjoyable. I'm convinced his presence is the reason they're winning this game, I mean he predicted it in his last 12 games post ;)

Then Melo got triple-teamed and passed to an open Toney Douglas on the baseline. He tossed up a floater with ten to go, and Howard recovered from triple-teaming Melo at the foul line to goaltend it into the seats. That put the Knicks up three. But then, of course, they blew their three-point coverage and gave Richardson an open three, tying the game. With five seconds left, Knicks get the ball back. Carmelo throws up some crap out of a triple team, easily grabs his own miss, and fails to put it back in. Frazier blames it on his "subliminal" fear of losing. So they go to overtime.

Well, in more Magic-Knicks drama, Howard fouled out on a phantom loose ball call, threw the ball into the backcourt, and got T'd up. Then, Hedo hit a three to tie it with 50 seconds but it didn't count because, after Richardson and Melo got into a scuffle on the floor for a loose ball, Richardson, still lying on the floor, actually grabbed Melo's ankle as Melo was running down the court and tripped him. That finished Orlando off.
You forgot the part where Melo actually tripped Richardson first which is why he was lying on the floor, but Dick "I should not be allowed to officiate basketball" Bavetta saw the second one.
Well I think they both went to the floor of their own volition, and then as Melo was getting up he tossed Richardson aside. But that first toss looked to me more like one of those things that happens when players get tangled and just reflexively push the other guy away.
The problem with that is that he didn't toss him. Richardson got up before Melo and was running away and Melo stuck his arm (or leg?) out and tripped him. The smile on his face after it was over said it. It was pretty much the exact thing Richardson did, but the retaliator always gets punished.
