If you read the preview earlier, I realize I may have made this matchup seem a bit too simplistic. The Sixers are going to have to do some work to exploit DeMarcus Cousins, more work than most teams since none of their big men ever put fouls on anyone. Hawes, Brand and Thad just don't draw fouls, which means the perimeter guys are going to have to get into the paint, they're going to have to initiate contact and they're going to have to be smart about it, because Cousins mostly just plants himself in the lane and hopes you run him over.
Of course, it's very likely that putting fouls on Cousins won't be the best thing for the Sixers anyway, since he's essentially an empty-possession machine on the offensive end, we'll just to wait and see how terrible he is tonight.
The tip is at 7pm. This is your game thread. Join me if you're looking forward to a bunch of turnovers and a tech or two from DeMarcus tonight.
Prediction: PHI 107, SAC 90
