This is the first installment of a column I think we'll run with for the rest of the season (unless the Sixers trade Andre Miller and take a nosedive). At the end of the night, we'll take a look at the playoff race and what the teams battling it out with the Sixers have done.
Miami 96, Charlotte 92
I actually caught most of this game on League Pass. Miami did not impress and came very close to blowing a double digit lead in the fourth quarter. No injuries of note. Miami moves to 1.5 games ahead of the Sixers for the #6 seed.
Phoenix 107, Detroit 97Caught most of this one too on ESPN. Steve Nash torched the Pistons who moved Rip Hamilton to the bench, but still seem allergic to giving Rodney Stuckey any important minutes. Detroit's defense is pitiful, thanks mostly to...well, you know who. Detroit leads the Sixers by 2 for the #5 seed.
Magic 101, Nets 84VC sat with a sore elbow. Dwight Howard plowed the rest of the team with 30 and 16. The Nets fell to 2.5 behind the Sixers.
Everyone else was off.
I try and focus only on the teams above the sixers - the chasing - so i watched the heat/bobcats myself - augustin was on fire tonight
Then around 8 PM eastern time i watched food network instead :)
Detroit is really playing poor basketball right now.
Vlad is going to help that Charlotte team, they're 4 games out of the #8 seed right now, with a pretty easy schedule remaining. They could be a playoff team, especially if they can move Felton for something decent.
