Samuel Dalembert is hurting. He missed practice
yesterday with foot, ankle and thigh issues. He's listed as day-to-day and from his own words, I'm a little worried about his availability against the Magic tomorrow night:
"It's just a matter of trying to recover the muscles quick enough, and
we as a team have not had a lot of time to recover because the schedule
has been busy," Dalembert said. "I want to be there on Wednesday. I
want to give them some payback."
The Sixers are really going to need Sammy in the next couple of games. Tomorrow they face Dwight Howard, then they travel to Phoenix to take on Shaq and Amare. I don't want to see extended minutes from Calvin Booth in those games, even if Booth did a good job in limited action the other night against Orlando, as Passion and Pride pointed out
This playoff run has become about stretches of games. The Sixers face an ominous stretch right now, three games against strong playoff teams (Orlando, @ Phoenix, @ Golden State) followed by three games against bad teams (@ the Clippers, vs. Seattle, @ Milwaukee). The Sixers should come out of that six-game stretch 3-3, anything less would be a disappointment, anything more an achievement.
