Just when the Sixers string together some solid play and things begin to look up, one team in their division trades for a pseudo star, then another trades for a legit superstar. In the grand scheme of things, the Melo trade is a novelty that probably won't change things in the Atlantic a whole lot. The Deron Williams move, though, could catapult another team ahead of Philly in the East for the next couple of seasons. Luckily, we have a game tonight to distract us from Rod Thorn's inactivity at the helm of the Sixers. Say it with me, "Player Development."
I just don't have a fully fleshed out preview in me right now. It's the Wizards, they blow. John Wall makes Andre Iguodala look like Ray Allen in the shooting department, no one wants to talk about it. I'm excited to see Jrue on Wall, and vice versa. I'm super excited to see Andray Blatche launch terrible jumpers all night long. If the Sixers don't win this game, I'm going to be sick(er) to my stomach.
Check out the game capsules from the previous meetings. Eff Cartier Martin. How could you, Jrue?. Jrue owns Wall.
Prediction: PHI 110, WAS 95 and misery.
The tip is at 7pm, game thread 90 minutes prior. Hopefully, I'll be able to collect myself by then.
