Sammy Gets Swindled

Here's a tip, if you're going to invest in merchandising a licensed character, make sure your partners have the rights to merchandise said character. TMZ has the scoop on Sammy Dalembert's $1M failed investment and the ensuing lawsuit.

Phil Jasner's hard-hitting follow-up article basically rewrites the TMZ post. The name of the design studio being sued by Sammy is Art Asylum, just in case anyone out there was looking to invest in Underdog merchandising.

On a basketball note, Sammy will be skipping a trip to India for Basketball Without Borders to work out with team Canada. Maybe a ton of extra reps with Steve Nash this Summer will improve Sammy's hands. Or maybe Nash will break his nose with a no-look pass. Only time will tell.
