Phil Jasner actually
broke some news on his blog, Sixerville. Mo Cheeks said Speights will step into the starting lineup for Elton Brand tonight.
Cheeks also said Brand didn't make the trip to Detroit and he'll remain on the shelf against the Nets tomorrow night in Philly. Bad news, but not unexpected. They have three off days after tomorrow's game, so better to be safe than sorry with the hammy injury and give him the extra days of rest.
