Play time is officially over. Andre Iguodala is hard at work in Turkey, hopefully, the rest of his Philadelphia teammates are putting in long hours stateside (though we know Evan Turner is currently in China). Here at Depressed Fan, it's also time to punch the clock. Allow me to explain after the jump.
As you already know, I've been working on a redesign for Depressed Fan for a couple of weeks now. (You can catch a glimpse of the design on our new Facebook page.) The plan is to re-launch the site some time this week. The first step will be an alpha launch of the home page, then the other pages will be rolled out over the following days. Become a fan on Facebook for an early look. Throughout the week, I'll walk you through the new features over there.
As far as basketball is concerned, I feel like it's time to take off the rose-colored glasses and take a hard look at what we should expect from this roster. There will be a big post using past production, rather than hopes and desires, to set expectations. Along those lines, I'd like to take the pulse one final time. How many wins will the Sixers have this season? Vote in the poll below:
We've got about 7 weeks until the games start to count, less than a month until the first preseason game in Roanoke, VA (Roanoke?). That's not a lot of time, but I'm confident we'll whip this place into game shape.
