Andre Miller will remain your point guard for the final 27 games of the season. Breath easy. The horrible loss to the Timberwolves is a distant memory after pounding the Knicks the following night. Our roster is set (unless we can sign a veteran who was waived, like Brent Barry). These are the guys that got us here, these are the guys we're going to have to ride if a playoff berth is in the cards.
Andre Iguodala, Andre Miller, Thad Young, Samuel Dalembert, Lou Williams, Willie Green, Reggie Evans, Jason Smith and Rodney Carney. That's our 9-man rotation.
The stretch run officially starts tonight with the toughest match-up the Sixers have seen in a while in the form of Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic, in Orlando. The Magic also stood pat through the trade deadline, which I think was a mistake. They had the expiring contracts and spare parts to get a deal done, as things stand, they're in that second tier in the Eastern Conference, just below Detroit and Boston.
This game isn't what I'd call a must win, but it sure would be a great start to a tough stretch of games. The Sixers make the quick hop from Orlando to Miami to wrap up their two-game trip with against the new look Heat. From there, it's back to the Wach for another game against the Magic. Then comes a trip out West which starts with two games that I can't wait to watch, @ Golden State and @ Phoenix.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. Tonight, it's the Magic.
