Game 25 Thread: PHI vs. LAC

Have the sixers gone 2-0 in any other back to back this season?

Nope. They're 3-4 in the back ends, but haven't swept a back-to-back yet.

They've only won 2 straight games 3 times, neither of them were on back to backs

Tonight's game is going to decide who wins our predictions from last week's show. I had 3-0, you had 2-1. :)

Well if they were going to sweep a back to back - onight would be the best possibility probably.

However, no one goes 0-41 on the road either :)

They aren't even the worst road team in the league, believe it or not. Washington is 0-12.

Hard to believe the Clippers have the worst record in the league when they've played 15 games at home to only 10 on the road to this point.

Yeah. they should win tonight. I didn't realize the Hornets were playing so poorly of late when I made that prediction.

What happened to Chris Kaman?

He got hurt again

LIke that's a surprise

Tray reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 18:45

Jordan's funner anyway, as Roy Halladay would say.

By the way, won't Iguodala check Gordon, while Meeks can check Aminu or Gomes, both of whom (for the most part, Aminu's definitely had moments where you can see what people were excited about) suck?

If it's Aminu, they'd probably switch it that way. Gomes is too big, though. He'd murder Meeks. I'd consider it, but I think the switch would be better the other way, w/ Holiday guarding Gordon.

I've got the Philly feed on league pass. The Clippers guys spend the entire fourth quarter talking about how the first team to 100 wins.

Lawlers Law - I'll enjoy that during the second half

Wow. Sixers are 5.5 point favorites on the second night of the back-to-back.

Heh, Clips are 3-37 in their last 40 games on the road.

Alrighty, here we go...

Hawes loses the tip, emphatically.

Baron Davis gets the start. Jordan is guarding Brand.

Wow, hawes with a big rejection on Griffin.

And another one!

T McL reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 19:13

This is borderline unbelievable... 4!

Alvin reply to T McL on Dec 15 at 19:16

It's like he knows everyone expects him to be on the face of many posters. So he made sure he had a highlight of his own.

Gomes is starting too.

They aren't switching the Gordon matchup.

Hawes has three blocked shots, I think.

Make that 4.

What has Hawes been smoking? (We need to get him MORE!)

Give DeAndre Jordan the assist on that Jrue three.

Tray, now that Davis and Gomes are in the starting lineup, and Kaman will be when he returns, are you still crazy about the Clippers approach?

Tray reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 19:20

I think VDN should play the young guys, that's usually how you develop talent. Though it's understandable with Bledsoe's recent struggles, and Aminu's. Like Turner, you don't want to ruin a rookie's confidence by playing him too much when he's down. Either way, their GM has drafted a lot of good-to-great young pieces and I don't really think that who VDN starts for the next couple months is going to have a long-term impact on that team's future.

Tray reply to Tray on Dec 15 at 19:23

That said, if I were a Clippers fan I'd be upset if Kaman cut too much into Jordan's time when he returned.

Course you would, why play the better player.

Pretty cut by Jrue and feed by EB.

Can't defend much better than Jrue did on Baron there....

These two have to stop the arguing

T McL reply to T McL on Dec 15 at 19:19

the andrew toney convo did make me do a youtube search for him though... found this nice reel

Blown bunny by Meeks.

They are scoring too much early..

is there something about the clipper screens that is just blowing away all our defenders?
this is dumb.

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 19:21

Bad matchups for EB tonight to say the least

If Griffin was guarding him he'd be set, but Jordan's too big.

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 19:25

In games like these when Brand will struggle, Thad becomes so much more important. Wish Speights would stop pretending he was Dirk Nowitzki.

Why can't we get a damn stop at all. Geez. It's terrible... memories of last season. Ugh.

Nothing's dropping. Go to the hole, please.

Ugh, stop with the jumpers.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:24

Jumpers, jumpers, jumpers......don't they remember last night?

Nice cut by Jrue, pass by Hawes. Davis can't stay with him.

Hawes is starting to grow on me

Tray reply to jkay on Dec 15 at 19:28

He's like a throwback to the days of unathletic white backup centers. His haircut tonight reminds me of Ostertag.

jkay reply to Tray on Dec 15 at 19:30

haha Greg Ostertag!
he's a bum but I guess I expect very little from him.

Ugh. Lou in for Jrue.

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 19:30

Lou in for anyone gets an 'Ugh' from me these days.

Thad/Aminu is gonna be fun to watch. They're about the same size, and I think both will end up being tweeners all their careers.

glad DC recognized the EB matchup problem early enough

Turner actually running the point.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:32

Good inside the land dish by Thad to Hawes.

Hawes with the slam. Nice pass by Thad.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:34

Shoddy defense in this quarter, they better shore that up or it's gonna be a long night.

Lou is so friggin helpless on defense.

Turner does look infinitely more comfortable with the ball in his hands. Which is nice, but it'd be nice to see him look comfortable at his actual position. Also, Hawes is starting to think he's Bargnani.

Alvin reply to Tray on Dec 15 at 19:38

Haha on the Bargnani comment.

I'm certain this will be the best quarter I'll ever see from Hawes. 8 points, 5 boards, 4 blocks. Not shabby for anyone.

Gotta love Turner getting the board and going straight to the hoop. That's the kinda play I've been waiting to see from him.

And yes if he's on the court with Lou I rather Evan be running the point, thank you very much.

Smart foul, Bledsoe.

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 19:44

This is the kind of play that gives people heart attacks.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:36

The Lou pump fake worked from half court. heh

They'll probably say it was after the horn.

Thad kind of settled everything down there at the end of the quarter.

Tie goes to the shooter?

I'd rather watch commercials than the replay 20 times

Alright, three shots for Lou for the tie.

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 19:39

ruling on the field stands. first down

2/3 for Lou, Sixers lose the first quarter 28-29.

Need to defend, folks.

Sweet pass from Lou to EB.

Foot on the line, Jrue. That's a fine if I'm coaching.

When they finally miss they get an O-board. Damn.

Finally, they call the moving screen.

Tray reply to Bob on Dec 15 at 19:47

They should have called a T for Cook's demonstrative disagreement.

Eric Snow: "Vinny DelNeegro"

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 19:46

did anyone else just hear Eric Snow's pronunciation of "Vinny Del Negro"

Yeah, I caught that. Hilarious.

This already feels like the kind of game where the bench will keep us in it.

I'm fine w/ Davis shooting threes. Thad did a good job w/ Griffin in the post. That's a couple times he's held his own down there.

Thad also doing really good work on the offensive glass.

Thad on Griffin. Thad's definitely improved his strength, and seems to be holding position better, but that's a mismatch like whoa.

Yeah, but he's doing a good job. Hope it lasts.

Lou's official right now. Please, get him out.

er..."Lou's horrible right now"

I'd say he's been bad for the most part over the past 4 or 5 games.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:52

We need a timeout, now.

Fucking oop goes in on the fly. Great.

10-0 run for the Clips after that timeout. Not good.

Get Iguodala back in there, for Lou.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:55

The defense seems to have finally caught up with our 2 game offensive ineptness. No offensive flow or execution whatsoever. Hawes IS our offense right now. ugh

lol at this pathetic segment.

Jason reply to Jason on Dec 15 at 19:56

I'm not talking about the cause btw. Just how it was shot, with her standing in the middle of the crowd with people that have no clue what's going on.

This low angle is really unflattering to Marakovits.

That was great.

Good o-board by Hawes, bad sissy hook.

Jrue needs to do that on Davis every time until they start doubling.

way to go Jrue.

We need to get stops, come on. the clippers aren't that great to let them score basket after basket.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:59

Run some damn offense. PLEASE

Hot Potato champion Jodie Meeks!

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 19:59

Jodie for 3, run some screens for him Doug.

I'm not sure what Iguodala did to that bunny.

Jodie w/ the three, then a hard foul on Griffin on the other end.

Baron Davis is eating Holiday's lunch....

Alvin reply to Luke on Dec 15 at 20:03

I was hoping Jrue'd do better against Baron Davis to be honest.

What was with that shot of Speights in the middle of action? Is he thinking, "I can run up and down in a complete mess of a game too"?

there we go, baby. EB with the slam.

Showing highlights of the game we went to last year, the field trip.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:04

Replays of the DF field trip. not good memories

Alright, let's end the half right. Play some D and take the lead to close the half.

Hawes is slowly becoming one of the more amusing things about this team. The exaggerated way he shoots the ball as if he's mimicking Kobe's form, it's like one of those dumb commercials about the huge defensive end who's secretly always wanted to be a ballerina.

Steal the tip :)

Finally, a trip to the line.

Couple stops, couple hoops. Let's end the half on a high note, huh?

God this is bad.

Heh, they're counting that?

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:10

Andre has been pretty non-existent on offense for two straight nights now. We have to have him to score.

When we struggle on defense.. it's Battie time.

Come on, get this stop.

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 20:14

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:14

Could it be a coincidence that our newfound chemistry those 7 or so games has been jeopardized by Doug having to extend and switch up the rotations due to the heavy slate of games?

I'm trying to figure out what you're really trying to say. I can't tell if it's "our bench isn't that deep" or something else.

Tray reply to Jason on Dec 15 at 20:24

As you may recall, his theory is that playing a combination of Thad, Jrue, Spencer, Andre, Jodie and Brand is "the ticket." They're the ones who he thinks have the great chemistry. So I guess playing Turner too much, or Lou, would constitute deviations from the ticket.

I thought he was blaming Iguodala for something

F me. Sixers down three after two.

Del Negro just LOOKS overmatched. Our assistant coaches project way more confidence and know-how than him. He must give amazing interviews.

Anyway, Griffin was just awful that half,. Gordon pretty quiet, and we still trail. Then again, Davis was massively more competent than usual.

What in the hell are you talking about? Do you even know?

Max reply to Tray on Dec 15 at 20:30

Griffin was horrible:

13 points
12 rebounds
4 assits
1 steal
1 block

In the half...

But did he posterize Hawes at all?

Nope. Actually, the closest thing to a poster was a Hawes rejection.

Just trying to find a reason why Griffin was horrible :)

So elton brand - he hasn't always sucked this much at defense right?

To be fair, Griffin did struggle from the field in the first half.

Griffin was horrible:

13 points
12 rebounds
4 assits
1 steal
1 block

In the half...

Damn - I'd hate to see what would have happened if he didn't struggle then :)

Tray reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 20:54

The 3-11 shooting. Taking lousy jump shots, somehow failing to finish on almost every post move. He took 15 possessions to score 13 points.

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 20:20

Turner has outrebounded our starting power forward in the 5 minute stretch he was on the floor. Is there any explanation as to why EB is dreadful on the defensive glass?

Knicks up 7 on the Celtics start of the 3rd

That assistant coach cracks me up. I think his entire job is to give those interviews after the half so none of the other guys have to.

Meeks rushed that three.

And there was no foul on that Gordon drive.

OH COME ON - don't give that up off a made basket you idiots.

Nice find for the open 3 by Andre Iguodala

Nice find by Iguodala that is

Hawes on the fast break - funny

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:34

Jrue for three!

Spence to the line? Wow.

He should be fouled every time he shoots it seems

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 20:38

and missing as usual.

Blake Griffin is rewriting the book on the power forward position.

Hawes with another block?

Jrue with another three.

Holy Crap Jrue - how did you do that?

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:38

EB trying to box out with his upper body instead of his lower body.

Jrue for 3!

I would expect his legs are pretty tired on second half of the back to back

eddies' heady's reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 20:41

Your legs don't have anything to do with putting your ass into somebody.

38 minutes last night for Brand, 40 for Iguodala. That might come into play.

It's more likely that they both are just lazy sods who suck

And Hawes the Center position.

Jason reply to Jason on Dec 15 at 20:39

Darn, was supposed to be a reply to Gosixers.

WHat I wrote was a quote from the douchey clipper announcers

Jason reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 20:41

Works even better then.

11 boards and 6 blocks for Hawes.

Jason reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 20:42

Triple Double watch.

bebopdeluxe reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 20:42

Just got home and checked the box score and saw that...are the Clippers THAT bad in the post?

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 20:40

I'd go to Thad now. Elton does not have it

Jrue trying to take over, but he can't do it alone. When Iggy doesn't get aggressive and Brand can't, we struggle to score. Especially with Bad Lou. Hell, even Meeks is missing shots.

We need Thad to get red hot.

Fortunately Baron Davis helping out and fouled meeks on a 3 pointer.

Eltons kid is named Elton Peace Brand?

Damn it, I hate the 'scene shots', reminds me how much I miss the food

Three-shot foul. Sink 'em all, Jodie.

Stop and a hoop to take the lead, please? Hate constantly playing from behind.

That should've been an and one for Jrue.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:43

BLow the whistle. Jrue was fouled.

Hey Jrue - DUNK it next time - stop trying to draw the foul

God damned sissy hook. Iguodala should've gone up with that.

Jrue saw him but gave him a bad lead on the lob - Hawes was more open...but yes the sissy hook :)

Come on EB - go up against the rookie - draw the foul on him

That was close. Size 20 shoes just screwed Jordan.

Seems like they have a lot more than 10 o-boards. The clips, i mean.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:47

Good cut by EB and great pass by Dre.

Getting Jordan out of there is big. Nice pass by AI9.

Doug Collins just yelled - I believe 'Spencer Get Down', telling the big guy to go to the low post or something :)

Maybe it was "Spencer get out." he yanked him.

Welcome to the NBA rookie :)

I was wondering why the big hawes was stranding not near the low post in most sets :)

Thad in for Hawes

Good foul.

Jason reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 20:50

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:49

EB trying to give Blake the Javale McGee, huh?

Looked like it was all ball to me :)

Someone needs to give Griffin an Andre Miller.

Block party.

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 20:50

nice fucking effort by Elton to jog back down the court with Griffin clearly leaking. He's been awful tonight

johnrosz reply to johnrosz on Dec 15 at 20:50

at least he put a good hard foul on him.

That foul right there is something this team has been missing for a while.

johnrosz on Dec 15 at 20:51

explosive jumper is going to come down like that with contact. bad call.

how the fuck is that flagrant? that's bullshit.

He smacked him in the face and made no play on the ball

His palm was on the ball and knocked it out of his hands.

Does the Palestra still exist?

Hate to see Lou come in, but Turner needs some burn.

Lawler is ashamed at the sixers not having retired #2

ELton Brand seems very pissed off

Give him the ball

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:55

Up 7, let's go guys, close strong these last two minutes

Louis Williams - point guard - sigh

Iguodala for threeeee!!

Double digits, now don't screw it up in the final two minutes here.

Atta boy, Thad.

Woops - wrong place

Does the Palestra still exist?

Meeks with some nice D on Gordon. cut off the drive first, then poked it away off of him.

Did McKie work with Thad on his jjumper too?

10:1 A:TO ratio - that's good :)

As long as Hawes has this new haircut, I want the Sixers to win every game.

It has given him unfathomable power.

F'ing Lou.

The 3?:)

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:01

Why is he even on the court? Ugh.

Nicely done Andre

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 20:59

Yes, Dre. And one opp.

Count that shit.

AI9 + 1 with 1.2 left on the clock.

HUGE third quarter for the Sixers.

PHI 87, LAC 74 after three.

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:05

At least the D seems to have improved somewhat.

Gotta close it out early.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:03

Play Jrue the whole quarter here. And don't let Lou screw it up. Let Spencer get a nice run here.

I'd rather see evan in here with jrue because of the need for defense, but i guess doug likes lou

Good news: Jrue on Gordon

Bad news: Lou on Bledsoe

Alvin reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:07

Lou on anyone is bad news, really.

Kinda sucky we didn't trade Lou for some 2nd round picks and take Jordan.

Good - Lou forces turnover
Bad - he doesn't look up court

That turnover was caused by AI9, Lou just picked up the ball.

This has to be the first time Jrue has taken 20 shots in a game, no?

Mike P reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:07

The most shots I've ever seen him take. He has just taken over the team today.

Thad needs some facial hair and an Afro. So does Iggy. Our team needs to ABA it up.

How much have you had to drink tonight?

Mike P reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 21:10

Look at Hawes, LOOK at him. It's because he's grown his hair out.

If Thad and Iggy both had afros, our team would never lose a game again.

Also, why is Elton Brand so damn salty lately.

I think he's pissed about that flagrant call. He's always given hard fouls, though. That's his specialty.

That's what I figured, when he went down for that loose ball - he was not having no jump ball.

Mike P reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:14

It's always to some younger guy who is out playing him too. I cringed when he nailed Griffin, because even though I don't want the clips to win, I don't want stupid Elton Brand to rob me of years of Griffin highlights.

And Gordons facial hair, along with his Team USA buffs, have allowed him to make the leap this year.

Jason reply to Mike P on Dec 15 at 21:11

Speaking of facial hair, what is up with Eric Gordan's beard? looks like a major obtuse triangle to me.

Jason reply to Jason on Dec 15 at 21:16

They just showed it again, looks like he has a right triangle on his cheek lol.

Lousy start offensively to the fourth - CLips can't capitalize though

Iguodala's hurt. I think it's the achilles.

Great job by Thad. uber-aggressive.

On the second free throw (i re ran it) he ran into thads food and i think Griffins foot too...he's been limping since

Mike P reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 21:12

ESPN's lil fantasy thing says his achilles is still bothering him. It might bother him all year. Sucks because he's always been so damn sturdy and is working well on the team this year in the team USA role.

I'm not sure he should still be in the game - but he's visibly affected when he's running

Nice shot though

Iguodalas ankle got 'double bumped' on that second foul shot - hope it ain't serious

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:09

Thad tenacious on the glass. Nice.

That was a goaltend, but it was close.

johnrosz reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:11

who knew that Hawes was even capable of getting to a ball like that?

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:11

HAHA....they're playing Willie Nelson's "On the road again" over the PA system...mocking the Clips stellar road record....lol

Turner should be in the game for Lou right now, imo.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:13

Dag, Spencer was boxing out backwards. heh

Turner should have been in since the start of the quarter.

Iguodala is still in though

Not to be bigoted but Marc's occasional remarks about the collision of heavenly bodies are kind of gay. I actually went to Hebrew school with his son, so I know that's not the case, but it's a little weird to hear him talking about guys' heavenly bodies.

Here's hoping your specialty isn't civil rights

Tray reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 21:19

I could always specialize in defending employers against civil rights suits. I actually would like to specialize in defending local and state governments against Voting Rights Act suits, but it's hard because they generally just use their own lawyers.

If you're watching the Clippers feed, let me know the first time they mention Lawler's law.

You got it

Did Louis Williams force Eric Gordon into a travel? That's just sad

Dare I call it?

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:16

EB with the dagger? 6 left....

The Clippers need a third scorer..

BTW... Brian Cook sucks...

We gotta save Iggy for the road trip, put Turner in there please.

Jrue seems to have taking a shot in his thigh?

No sub. I'd get Andre some rest for that achilles.

Mike P reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:22

Very weird that he is still in.

They are up by 18 now. Lets get him on the bench plz.

I hate Lou

Alvin reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 21:25

I hate Lou.

Fouling Davis on a jumper, huh Lou.

He actually backed away from him before he even left the ground - just a weird ass foul call

That Iguodala dunk was exciting. That one too.

Tray, are you bored?

Tray reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:25

Iguodala dunking just doesn't do much for me. Clippers have kind of sucked. Snow and Zumoff can ruin any game. So yes, I'm bored enough that I've gone back to writing my piece on the circumstances in which possessing a Xanax pill can count as an aggravated felony under immigration law. (Such circumstances exist, amazingly.)

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:21

Way to explode to the cup Dre. Lot better 2nd half from him.

Dre with the slam!

"There's that Lawlers law thing. First to 100 wins folks"

That's what he said

Heh. Thanks for coming, Griffin.

Frank reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:25

Blake Griffin deserves better. Besides Eric Gordon, they surrond him with crap and underdeveloped kids.

Blake Griffin is an under developed kid.

I'm not really sure he deserves anything. He's paid a lot of money to play basketball for a living.

Nate reply to Frank on Dec 15 at 21:59

The Clippers hire Vinny Del Negro as their coach. Than they sign free agents: Ryan Gomes, Randy Foye, Brian Cook, Jarron Collins and Rasual Butler. If that was the Sixer off-season I would shoot Stefanski.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:22

Oooohhh.....Dre with the step back.....he has sure woken up

Basically a 7-man rotation on the second night of a back-to-back. Youth is a beautiful thing, I guess.

eddies' heady's reply to Brian on Dec 15 at 21:26

You got it, that's the ticket.

Still no sub? That's surprising.

Play Turner Please.

Kind of appropriate that the girl who can't shoot is wearing the Turner jersey.

eddies' heady's reply to Tray on Dec 15 at 21:27

But hey, she sure could dribble.

They had a kid with a Favors jersey on who had great length and potential but they passed on them.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:26

Holy crap. What a dunk by Thad on a nice bounce pass by Jrue.

THAD. So aggressive today.

Clippers have some talent but still a joke.
get 'em a coach, some mental toughness and pride.

You probably believe that too don't you?

Jason reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 21:33

I'm not sure if you are saying that the Clippers suck and that they don't just need a coach but I think if you flip vinny del negro and DC philly is last in the league and clippers are playing better.

And I think you're wrong.

And I think it's not a coaches responsibility to give the players pride in their job or mental toughness

And the problems with the clippers go higher than the coach

Yes they have a great rookie in griffin but they still have the same ownership - so people should stop thinking the clippers are EVER going to be good. In 5 years, gordon and griffin will most likely be on other teams.

Jason reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 22:51

"And I think it's not a coaches responsibility to give the players pride in their job or mental toughness"

See Sixers 2009-2010

Coaches matter good sir. And please I don't think anyone cares about their owner when they talk about their young talent. Right now their talent is better than the sixers and most non contending teams right now.

So 4 years from now This is what the Clippers Project at the most basic level of starting talent. (Relative age going into 2014)

Center: ?????
Power Forward: Blake Grifin (25 )
Small Forward: ???????
Shooting Guard: Eric Gordon (25 3/5ths)
Point Guard: ????????

Young Players to potentially Fill out the Question marks
Eric Bledsoe
Al-Farouq aminu
Deandre Jordan
2011 Clippers Pick which should be a top 5
2012 Clippers pick which shouldn't be as high.
2012 Wolves pick Could be pretty high draft pick

Sixers going into 2014-2015 season

SF:Iggy (30 3/5ths)
PG:Jrue Randall Holiday (24)

Young Players to potentially Fill out the Question marks:
2011 10-20 pick
2012 pick is ?

Plus Clippers have more cap flexibility than Sixers, I don't understand how you can think that right now they are less talented. You can keep guessing that Sterling would rather trade away Griffin and Gordon than build a winner but you're speculating on a decision that is still a few years away that really no one has any legitimate guess as to what has happened. Only thing Sixers have going for them over the Clippers is the Coach/GM combo atm.

I still don't understand why the starters are in there. So you say the schedule is brutal, but play your starters when the game's already won?!

It's very odd that the sixers only have two games against the clippers all season and it's basically a 2 week period

hope all this does not take a toll on Dre's leg.

Meeks ruins everything with a careless turnover.

eddies' heady's on Dec 15 at 21:32

Nice comeback in that 2nd half. Don't know where that went in the NOH and NJ games, but it was nice to see again. Good to see Andre get involved offensively scoring-wise. Spencer was huge again, along with Jrue, but Baron was cancelling him out in that first half.

Alright, 105-91 is your final. Excellent second half across the board to put this one away.

I'm going with iguodala for POTG. Jrue and Hawes both got serious consideration, but Iguodala put this one away in the second half.

Celtics Knicks on ESPN tied with 12.2 left, celtics ball after the time out

Pierce with the probable game winner.

I know it was after the clock - but holy crap - how does Stoudemire make that

Jason reply to GoSixers on Dec 15 at 21:43

Paul Pierce airplane run around the court was pretty feminine looking.

That was late.

Yeah it was, obviously - but Stoudemire making the 3 - good call by D'antoni :)

I didn't see it but heard the commentators say that Pierce was bowing after the review. If that's so he's seriously the lamest player in the NBA.

Evanordinary! Looks like he's going to take over the garbage time label from Willie?

if you guys remember, Spencer Hawes was a number 10 overall pick in the draft , for a reason too, just got off to a rough start in the NBA, potential has always been there
