Game 52 Thread: PHI vs. ORL

All I can say after the way we lost the last game with Orlando is "We owe these muthafuckas!!".

So if the Sixer win it will further their ability to sell the Sixers as a FA location?

Yes. It will become clear to him that he simply cannot beat this team, so he must join them.

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 18:05
+/-

I'm sure you saw the piece about him wanting to go to LA/NY. However, we're not the most irrelevant of franchises; a piece came out about local cable ratings today and we're not in the bottom 5 in the league. It didn't say where we were though, and I can't find it anywhere. According to Forbes, we were 8th worst last year.

What they do in the playoffs will be more of a factor to any FA.

If we are to believe everything that a player says than the LA rumors are purely made up by writers (which wouldn't be a huge surprise) or leaked by associates (like the Nuggets leaked the months old bynum talk to spur the knicks on) because dwight says there's nothing to it.

If we are supposed to believe Carmelos post nets debacle spin shouldn't we believe dwights too?

user-pic
Tray reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 18:15
+/-

Well, I never said we should believe Carmelo's spin, I just brought it up. What's really happening in the Melo situation is, of course, a mystery as to which we can only guess, given the incentives of the sources to all these pieces to lie. As for Howard, I'm inclined to think that there's real concern in ORL's front office, at least, that he may go, or they wouldn't have made all those trades. And I don't know why they'd want to leak a story that he wants to leave.

Of course there's concern in Orlandos front office - it would be stupid if there weren't

Lebron
Bosh
Carmelo
Amareo

Oh yeah - SHAQ

But the whole - shaq went to LA so Howard will too is kind of funny - the presumption that LA is going to get everyone is funny - the fact that people forget that Dwight Howard is reportedly 'uber' christian (though I don't buy it) would indicate he might not enjoy the 'sin pot' of LA

In other funny news, reports today are that Carmelo would consider signing the extension in Denver, which to me is stupid - if you'll sign it in denver, sign it in new jersey - at least it's closer to new york

user-pic
MW reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 19:03
+/-

maybe melo cares about winning basketball games.

I'd buy that if he wasn't forcing his way to the Knicks. $190M or so invested in Amare and Melo isn't going to win a championship.

I think Carmelo made those comments to make it clear to new york that the extension might matter a bit more to him than getting to New York - get the deal done by feb 24 or i'm staying in denver.

If I'm the GM - I immediately decide not to obtain Carmelo Anthony and let him suck it up and stick in Denver

maybe melo cares about winning basketball games.

Well, if melo 'cared' about winning basketball games, he'd go to denver, take less than 25 mil per year (That he isn't worth) to give Denver more freedom to add pieces to make Denver better.

If Melo 'cared' about winning basketball games he'd be pushing to go to the bulls more than the knicks as the bulls have a better future (and again, would be willing to sign a reduced contract extension)

25 mil per year - what are lebron/wade/bosh making in miami?

It's more like $22M, a little under, but the point remains. Those guys in miami are all around $14M, I think.

For some reason people keep saying 25 or 25 sticks in my head - whatever.

But is Carmelo Anthony worth 60% more (close to it) per year than Lebron Or Wade?

Alrighty, it's just about time. I'm feeling oddly good about this game heading into the tip. Let's see how long that lasts.

Holy jeebus, Hawes wins the tip over Dwight!

EB salivating over Ryan Anderson actually guarding him. Easy deuce on the first possession.

Rare Iguodala turnover. Unforced.

Easy goaltend call there.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:14

I'm feeling optimistic tonight too, if we can just hold them to 7-8 or less makes from three.

Quick three for Jrue, not terrible, he was open.

Then Jrue gives the and one on Jrue, though I'm not sure where the foul was.

Then Jrue gives the and one on Jrue,

Dude I suck at philosophy now I'm all confused

on Howard.

And a second goaltend on Howard.

Shit, another three for Anderson. Brand can't get out there.

7 boards for Hawes already.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:17
+/-

Good foul by Hawes there to not let him dunk it.

Does Sepencer Hawes really have 7 rebounds in under 5 minutes of play?

8

And 3 of them on the offensive end - if i'm otis smith i'm typing up my resume

Sissy hook, misses.

2 bad fouls on howard early. weak fouls where he gets easy and 1s.

Shit, was that on Jrue?

Two and-ones for Howard. They had a chance to wrap him up on the floor there. That's bad.

Meeks?

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:23

Nice to hear Billy Cunningham with those encouraging words for the team and Doug.

They need to get the ball to Brand.

Iguodala's jumper is on.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:24

SHit, call the damn foul on EB. he got fouled three times. sheesh

Anyone else hear Brand yell, "Call the fucking foul" on his third attempt in traffic?

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:25
+/-

Good foul Hawes. Battie time.

Two fouls on Jameer. Gilbert in to turn the ball over and take bad shots.

Good foul by Hawes, here comes Battie and his six fouls.

Great work by Hawes. Both fouls prevented easy scores for Howard, and all those rebounds.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:27
+/-

I really hope we win this game with a little extra tonight just b/c of Howard's arrogance last night. Please.

Hawes has 9 boards in 7 minutes?!? What the what?

This is fucking bullshit man, the Sixers are getting hammered every time they go to the hoop, no fucking whistles.

Seems to be a pattern - Amare gets away with shoves against the sixers

It's nice to know the refs are swallowing their whistles for us.

Nice, EB.

And EB running the floor!

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:29

Aw, nice pass from Dre to EB there w/ the clock about to expire

Dre to EB on the break. And-one.

EB is a monster this year.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:31

This one is kind of obvious from the refs so far, just hope it doesn't continue and become as obvious as the slanted phantom calls for Amare Sunday.

Come on Lou, clean that up.

Man, I love watching Arenas play (against the Sixers).

user-pic

Bad shot by Evan, no one to rebound.

Howard just throws Battie on the floor, no whistle. Twice.

JODIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

user-pic

Jo-3 to end the quarter! Up 9. Keep it coming.

PHI 27, ORL 18 after the first. Excellent quarter all around, even w/ some shoddy refereeing.

Really strong on the offensive glass - like almost 50% on the offensive glass - you'd think Dwight could grab a few?

I remember a couple weeks back AI9 was talking about how the team doesn't get any respect from the officials. It's really infuriating to see "star" players just shove and throw our guys around with no recourse.

It's really hard to say Dwights been getting star treatment this year when he's leading the league in technicals and being called for fouls that most other big men don't get called for - he's just huge

user-pic
Court_visioN on Feb 9 at 19:38

offense still looks discombobulated whenever the 2nd unit (Lou) comes into the game

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:39

Only 2 made three's given up in 1st quarter.

Nice touch, Gil.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:40

Bad shot Lou.

Come on, Lou. That's a terrible shot.

Keep fucking hammering Dwight. He hasn't sat yet. He went 37+ minutes last night. Keep throwing body blows.

Nothing but jumpers. Ugh.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:43

Doug needs to post Andre w/ JRich on him. Offense is stagnant now w/ this second unit.

JRich for three. That's 3.

user-pic
Court_visioN reply to eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:47
+/-

I'm not sure posting Dre is really the solution. Dwight has no reason to leave the paint with Battie and Brand in there. Just have to move the ball side to side and make the orlando defense move.

Terrible offense right now.

this is what happens when Lou runs the point.

Nice play by Battie and Turner. Need more of that shit. Turner with a good foul on Howard.

TOV on Howard, and Thad gave him the business after the whistle. Love it.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:45
+/-

Dwight doesn't like that travel call by the refs. He's losing his head from all these fouls we're hacking him on.

Shouldn't he sit here coming out of this timeout finally?

He played all 48 against Miami. SVG knows they completely blow w/out him. We need to put like a 10-0 run on them when he goes out.

It's great they keep fouling howard - but what the hell - he's 7 for 10

user-pic
Tray reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 19:48
+/-

58% free-throw shooter, so he "should" be 6-10. I don't know how great this strategy is; Howard getting fouled means 1.16 points per possession.

Oh, here's our Amazon woman sideline reporter.

I love everyone criticizing this woman, cause face it boys, even she is out of our collective leagues

user-pic
MW reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 19:54

no she isn't....not even close. i know some great stories about her but definitely not for this board.

user-pic
Tray reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 19:55
+/-

That's a pretty sweeping generalization.

The preponderance of evidence is on my side Tray

They aren't just fouling him on every possession. They're fouling him when he gets the ball in the paint, which is worth a good deal more than 1.16 points per possession.

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 19:53
+/-

Yeah, that's true. Well, it is if he gets fouled only on deep catches. A little farther out he's only shooting 44%.

Do you see them fouling him 10 feet from the hoop?

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 19:58
+/-

No, but I only got back from Five Guys 15 minutes ago so I didn't see all the fouls.

So you made a conclusion with out having all the evidence?

FacePalm

Thad's butterfingers are still lingering. That pass had some heat on it, though.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:48
+/-

Don't need that much heat on that short pass Evan. Turnover. ugh

Thad drops another one.

Get Jrue back in. Someone needs to fucking start going to the hoop while Howard is out.

user-pic
eddies' heady's reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 19:52
+/-

eh, thought that was a questionable pass by Lou to try and squeeze it in there. (if i saw that clearly)

Hey Thad

Please stop turning the ball over (and stop taking jumpers - just in general - layups or dunks - ok?)

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:50
+/-

Come on, turnover again, got to pad this lead w/ Howard out.

Damnit. Doug blew this opportunity.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:51
+/-

Dammit Thad, stop leaking off so far to help. Gives up a Redick 3. That's 4, I think.

Lou is in love w/ his jumper. He's had Arenas on him, absolutely no reason not to drive right by him every time.

If Evan Turner played how lou is playing now - would evan turner still be in the game?

How was he so wide open?

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:55

Tie game, Anderson three.

Now Lou goes to the hole. Had a feeling he would fall in love w/ his J after the hot night last night.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 19:57
+/-

Open airball from Jodie?

Another three from JRich.

arrrggghhhhh, w/ D12 still on bench

Fucking bullshit quarter so far. Get Howard on the bench, don't take advantage on the defensive end, and start leaving guys wide open from three. Wonderful.

Orlando's a pretty decent offensive team with Howard out, tons of shooters.

There was no fucking foul there!

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 20:00

Wtf? Foul on EB? He never touched him. Dwight just lost control of it

Now he gets a tech, ugh

Good drive, Jrue. That should be Howard's third or fourth.

user-pic

Both.

Flagrant on Howard, nice.

WTF was that? Did Battie have his arm?

user-pic

Think he did.

Pretty feed by Battie, AI9 w/ the slam.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 20:08

Heh, good job by Jodie to throw it up after the whistle there to earn two at the line.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 20:10

Sure hope it doesn't come back to haunt us, but we missed the boat big time when D12 was out in that quarter. Bench stunk it up.

This one's gonna be an apparent nailbiter.

PHI 47, ORL 49 at the half.

Horrible start to the quarter, decent finish. Need to take advantage when Howard is on the bench, and they did the opposite.

I'm surprised Hawes never got back into the game, though he played really well in his stretch in the first quarter, Collins even sent him to the table to check in, then called him back.

League Pass Broadband is spotlighting us at the half. In the City of Brotherly Love, the fans are falling in love with the Sixers! Here's Kate Fagan to comment on this newfound fan love!

user-pic
Tray reply to Tray on Feb 9 at 20:15

Okay, the host just said that Brand's averaging a double-double and may "be finally starting to fill the expectations that people had for him when he came into the league." Kate Fagan says that Iguodala has become a new player in the last two weeks. His emotional commitment has changed.

DA said they're a center away from being a contender.

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 20:19
+/-

No, I think he ended up implying we're a star away from being a contender. Said the current core will only go so far.

Hmmn, I watched it earlier today, that wasn't my takeaway, but whatever. He's out of touch, too.

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 20:25

I think he was saying we'd need a center to actually win a first-round series, but that we'd need something more than that to contend. Fagan claimed the current team can't rebound well enough to win a first-round series, which is wrong.

user-pic
Tray reply to Tray on Feb 9 at 20:18

David Aldridge says he keeps hearing Iguodala's available.

Kate Fagan says that Iguodala has become a new player in the last two weeks. His emotional commitment has changed.

Yeah, the host is pretty clueless. He said the Sixers are the #6 seed about 10 times. Said Brand is averaging a double-double.

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 20:19

Jrue has got to look for his shot in this half. He's got to score for us to have a chance. Him or Thad.

ORL only has 4 turnovers, I'd like to see a bump in that number. Get out in the open floor a little bit. Howard played 19 minutes in the first half. If the game stays close, SVG may not sit him in the second.

On the way home the random iphone machine played Go Hard or Go Home from Stomp the yard - this should be the sixers theme in the second half...

Amazon wants to know what McKie's "level of concern" is with Hawes's two fouls. McKie won't admit it, but his level of concern is through the roof, Meredith.

Thank God for Gilbert.

i think you guys are just going to have to come to terms with the fact that lou is a better option for us than jrue right now. developmental reasons aside.

Not when his shot isn't falling...and the point is it's not about this season - it's about the future.

Lou's a better scorer - but when his shot doesn't fall - he sucks

Lou is a better option for those who want ORL to win.

6 min to glory? Bring this MFer home!

you guys are seriously blind. not about lou - but about jrue. besides his triple double game he has been absolute garbage lately. lou is even finding the open man better.

First off - hit that reply button - it works better

second off - if you expect a 20 year old point guard in his first FULL season as a starter to be a finished product you have unhealthy unrealistic expectations.

It's called growing pains and Jrue getting through them is more important to the future success of this franchise (including this season) than lou fucking williams doing his shitty iverson imitation

user-pic
MW reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 21:14

I never denied anything you just said. I said developmental reasons aside, right now Lou is a better option. IE, if we want to win this game right now, Lou will give us a better chance.

If you want to say we should be developing Jrue more for the future, I won't argue with that.

If the sixers want to contend in the playoffs and think about winning a round this year - Jrue Holidays growing pains are more important to deal with than Lou Williams nonsense.

Course, so many people seem happy with a team that can't win in the first round, sixers should probably just trade Jrue since one and done seems an ok way to coach - cause that's how collins is coachign

Damn, Jameer strips Dre. What?

Turnover, yes. Jodie with a charge? BULLSHIT!!

ANother three, you're kidding me.

Lou w/ a drive. CLose out on these shootes.

Why is Meeks still in the game? Let's run a Holiday - Williams backslide to end the game.

Stupid autocorrect - back court

Hit these freebies, please.

Meeks has 8 boards, second game in a row. What're the odds of that?

i am not a lou fan by any stretch of the imagination but he is keeping the sixers in this one.

Yes - he's playing awesome defense - i love watching the sixers run out to the open perimeter shooter over and over

God the sixers sucks defending the perimeter - this is getting tiresome year after year

Fuck me. Hit your freebies.

They're killing us w/ these double high screens. Shouldn't we be switching them?

Dre misses, ugh. Stops!

That's a moving screen on Howard. He's thrown about five of them right at the top of the key like that.

and, that'll do.

Down 7 with under 2:00 to go. Can't buy a stop. If we don't score here, this one's over.

Meeks can't guard Reddick. Reddick knows this, and kill us. Doug C. doesn't know this, and leaves Meeks in instead of Turner, who can guard Reddick. Poor.

That's a bad defensive lineup out there. Meeks keeps running under screens for reddick????!!!!! Where's Jrue!!!????

Agreed. Where is Jrue

Well, we could've won this game had we not shot 39%.

Yes - the piss poor defense had nothing to do with it

That's what I said, yeah. Our lack of scoring was the ONLY factor.

Well, we could've won this game had we not shot 39%.

Really - continuing to perpetuate the lie that you're in Law school when you are unable to even remember what you said and speak clearly - it's kind of sad.

Get the stop. Foul to give. Come on, get the fucking stop.

You're kidding me. They call that bull on EB there? What a ticky-tack foul call.

There we go. Another one, damnit.

And it's sealed on an Iguodala turnover. Oh well.

Why does everyone always hit their freebies against us?

because we're cursed.

That made me laugh

Dammit Dre coughs it up. And I need to give it up.

Mason Plumlee (I think that's his name) and duke are on ESPN right now if you wanna watch a possible draft pick for the sixers now that the game is toast

Holy crap. Jrue is back in with 32 seconds left.

Heh. Fitting end, huh?

How the hell do we do a mental lapse like that? Two guys down court? wow

I thought we actually fouled Redick before he threw the ball down the court.

7 seconds off the clock before they foul.

user-pic

Then we can't foul? Only us.

Regardless of what happens here, Lou is your player of the game.

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 21:30

Nah, Iguodala's the player of the game. Though there were some unfortunate turnovers and missed foul shots.

They lose by 15+ if not for Lou's scoring in the fourth, I'm giving it to him.

user-pic
Tray reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 21:33

I mean, we lose by 20 if not for Iguodala's scoring in the other quarters, and many huge defensive plays.

Did you really need a double-pump three with 7 seconds left? Whatever. they fought, which really doesn't make me feel much better. I'm taking loss much harder this year than last.

PHI 95, ORL 99

Yeah, I changed my mind when I realized he was a Canadian. Your reading comprehension's lousy. Always reading into things. Like if someone wonders whether Jrue can carry us while Andre's out, that's not a criticism of Jrue, they're just hoping he'll score while we're playing an offensively weak lineup. Or if someone says we could've won had we not shot below 40%, that doesn't imply that the other team's scoring had nothing to do with the outcome (though I think between offense and defense, our offense had the worse night, easily).

user-pic
eddies' heady's on Feb 9 at 21:33

Tough one. Not many faults except the sorry bench play in 2nd when DH was on bench, maybe making a few more free throws, and Doug not putting Dre in for a few more minutes when Hedo was getting buckets in the 3rd, I mean, he was well rested from not playing the last quarter last night. Didn't close out well on a lot of their looks from deep either.

Oh, and Jrue w/ another off shooting night ala the Knicks game on Sunday.

Really needed this win to make some headway in the standings for that 6th seed that's eventually gonna be theirs.

user-pic
William on Feb 9 at 21:37

Collins sacrificed defense for offense in the 4th quarter. He's in a tough spot. Jrue and Evan weren't lighting it up, but Lou and Meeks were have good offensive games. Evan wasn't that great on d 2 nite either. Do u let Jrue and Evan just stay out there no matter what? Only way that happens if they trade Lou. Crazy!!!!

user-pic
eddies' heady's reply to William on Feb 9 at 21:48

He played who was giving him production tonight, hard to argue with that.

It's been a while, but hope that Thorn can somehow swing a trade involving Evan. He's just a redundant non-shooting ball transporter, who happens to be unathletic. He gives this team very little in the way of production, unless it's a crappy defensive team or garbage time. Love to see him go for another type of project player.

LOL

Good to see Eddy still hasn't lost his faith in Evan.

Meeks plays 37 minutes while shooting 5-13 and his nonexistent defense on Reddick is keeping him in the game over Jrue in the 4th. Seems about right.

Can you imagine how fast Jrue (or evan) would have been pulled for the dfeense played by Jodie or Lou?

Yeah it's really aggravating watching that. Turner didn't seem to do anything wrong except miss a couple shots, he had no turnovers, 2 assists/2 boards, and solid D (which no one else was playing).

Lou is like the coach's son on a pee-wee basketball team.

Why Collins would ever play Lou and Meeks together for any kind of important stretch is beyond me. I mean is a pass from one to the other even possible between those two?

user-pic
William on Feb 9 at 21:57

Is there a such thing as having 2 many "options." it may have hurt them 2 nite. I know this question has been asked a million times, but who would u guys trade out of the backcourt and what would u want back? Fair trades only lol.

I would not trade Evan Jrue or Iguodala - I'd give williams away for doritos

user-pic
William reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 22:50
+/-

I would trade Lou for a defensive minded, back up point. May not get what the league would consider "fair value" but it would help define the roles of holiday and turner. Ride or die with those guys. By the way, Lou had 18 pts in the 4th.

Since I'd give him away for doritos - anything else would be better.

I feel about Lou Williams the way I felt about Louis Williams - what do they do besides score points? If you can't defend, then are you really helping overall, not his fault that Doug put him out there with a weird ass lineup clueless about defense, all that running around towards open perimeter players just looked ridiculous chicken without the head nonsense.

I think Lou has value as a sixth man - but not as a sixth man point guard - Not sure any team 'needs' him though

user-pic
William reply to GoSixers on Feb 9 at 23:04

I think he would be "better" on d if dalembert was here. Lack of interior d. At the very least, Jrue should be finishing games. Was listening to the Orlando feed 2 nite and goulash was "questioning" the justification of Lou being the number 1 scoring option in crunch time, and wondering why the lack of touches for iggy.

Well, I mean you can't really argue with it tonight, not with the way he scored in the fourth. You can argue with going w/ the Lou/Meeks back court against Orlando when we couldn't buy a stop, but that probably has more to do with Jrue for Meeks than Jrue for Lou. And Jrue wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. In terms of winning this one game, the biggest sin Collins probably committed was sitting Hawes for the rest of the first half after he played so well in his initial run. This game was lost during that disastrous second quarter imo.

user-pic
William reply to Brian on Feb 9 at 23:26

I thought you wrote a big post about how he was arguably a better player than Iverson, and you're always saying he's better than Ellis. Now, you don't like Ellis, but surely he has some value and GS would be insane to trade him for Dorritos. So by the transitive property, it seems that you should value Williams more than Dorritos. Williams is a tough case for me because he does do stuff that we otherwise lack, and he's actually one of the league's better players at getting to the line, which is certainly a valuable skill. But watching his game I just hate him.

I thought you wrote a big post about how he was arguably a better player than Iverson,

Now - whether I said that or not, that's up to interpretation - but who ever said I was a fan of Iversons?

Just so you know Tray, I won't be responding to anything you write ever again, please do me the same courtesy.

Video: Lou Williams after scoring 18 of his 23 points in the final quarter of home loss to Magic:

http://ow.ly/3TDyT

Sigh

Hoopdata has been 'annexed' by the WWL atrocity TrueHoop

Lots of goats in this one.

1. Collins deciding to try and go Lou v. Orlando.
-I don't blame Lou. he actually did all he could. But Collins was the one who said the heck with defense, ball movement, team... lets just go back to the old Iverson days.

2. Jrue and Turner with stupid 20 ft jumpers off the dribble in transition. You can get that shot any time. I can almost tolerate assisted 20 foot jumpers if you are wide open. But off the dribble in transition?

3. If you shoot as a team worse from the foul line than Howard you should lose.

I generally defend Collins for his positives. But he is flat out losing Jrue and seems not to care. Jrue Holiday is a lousy NBA SG, just like the case at UCLA. But that seems to be his new ordained role on this team.

Well... Cousins had 19 and 15 today, on 16 shots (4 turnovers, 4 fouls), and held his man, Chandler, to 4 rebounds, 0 offensive, but got what I believe was his first ejection on a double technical, his second T of the game. (You'd think such a BAD GUY would get ejected more often/get more technicals.) However, he really doesn't seem to have deserved the second technical - just some slight elbowing with Chandler on a rebound off a missed free-throw. Chandler got the T too, but neither did anything. MAYBE there was a loose ball foul on Chandler. The first technical was deserved, a lot of complaining after they called the ball out of bounds off him. In the other late game, Monta has 34 on 15-27 shooting, Dorrell Wright is 2 assists shy of a non-pathetic triple double, and Lawson, getting the start for an injured Billups, has a Turneresque line of 8, 7 and 5. (And no, Curry did not have a big night against him.) Non-future-Sixer Nene has 17 on 6 shots.

user-pic
Tray reply to Tray on Feb 10 at 0:46

Make that 8, 7 and 6 for Lawson, and 37 for Monta on 16-29 shooting including the dagger three.
