, all the time

Our win against San Antonio last year was one of the most exciting regular season games for me (albeit in a defensive battle). I fully expect the Sixers to take care of business tonight and look for a rested Brand to step up tonight to the tune of a 16-9 line.

who do you think starts on duncan? voose or brand?

My guess is Voose, but it's a good question. Keeping Blair off the o-boards is going to be key. I think I'd actually prefer are starting front court of Brand and Lavoy against this team.

Who usually plays the tip, Duncan or Splitter?

Turtle Bay reply to Stan on Feb 8 at 18:31

Splitter doesn't start

Just made it home in time. Biking in the snow is no fun. Can't wait for this game to start.

danny green starting at SG instead of lenoard

More shooting for them, less size/athleticism.

Easier to match up for us, too. Iguodala can take Jefferson instead of having to go w/ Kawhi because of the size mismatch.

Aaaaaand we're off....Vucevic wins the tip over father time.

Voose wins the tap!!

Voose on Duncan to start. Brand battles Blair and rips the board away from him, sort of.

Jrue in the paint, nice.

I like Blair

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:13

Violet Palmer . . . UGH

Ah, Voose nice move, no finish.

Brand is bound and determined to fix the rebounding problem. Just ripped one away from the Voose.

Charge on Voose, first turnover.

Voose going left handed twice tonight

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:15

Good D Vuc.

2 on voose

he was moving that time

Another charge, but that time I think it was BS. He stepped under him.

2 turnovers.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:16

2 on Vuc. Lavoy time.

Too quick w/ that J, Jrue.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:17

Not a good shot Jrue, too quick and early. come on

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:18

Terrible shot by Lavoy. And Meeks before him.

Ugh, Lavoy airball. Then Blair beats him down the floor for an easy layup. Can't have that shit.

Was Violet P the one who called the charges? Think she was.

The first one was legit, the second wasn't.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:21

Just nothing but long jumpers so far. Get it together.

Damn. Two o-boards and couldn't convert.

Can't leave him, Jodie.

Yep. Ugh.

Anythng but free throws coming up

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:22

2 for 2? please

Lavoy has a mismatch

meeks 3

Shit, that was Lavoy? Thought it was Thad on the drive.

Jodie for three. Alright, let's go.

Is Iguodala's improved J a result of his eye surgery in the off season?

Court_visioN reply to KellyDad on Feb 8 at 19:26

yeah the eye surgery is clearly why his free throw shooting is atrocious.

I'm loving his better stroke from deep, but crediting it to an eye surgery is pushing it, IMO.

Give me another reason then?

Ryan F reply to KellyDad on Feb 8 at 20:38

Seems to me that he's taking less shots off the dribble, and more within the flow of the offense. He's always been a respectable set shooter. Just an observation, I have no data to back it up.

Ryan F reply to KellyDad on Feb 8 at 20:39

Seems to me that he's taking less shots off the dribble, and more within the flow of the offense. He's always been a respectable set shooter. Just an observation, I have no data to back it up.

Dodged a bullet w/ that Jefferson three. AI9 needs to stick w/ him.

good work lavoy

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:25

Jrue w/ the 3rd chance point.

Man, Lavoy is so active on the offensive glass.

I am LOVING Lavoy!!

Not playing well but leading.

Sixers going inside. Love it.

They gave Iguodala a turnover on that play in the backcourt where Duncan sort of stole the rebound from him, then he stole it back from Blair. 3 on the game now.

sweej Dre is fired up, Jrue is aggressive. Keep up the defense and this could be a comfortable win.
Allen is our Gerald Wallace.

Shit, Lavoy was just daring Duncan to drive there. Kinda wish he'd given him the jumper.

I really really like how aggressive AI has been this game. And really the only 3's he's taken were when nothing was happening on offense, so I'm fine with that. He's getting smarter about when to take his shots and when to push the ball.

The "slow fundamental?"

Lou picks up where he left off.

and gets hung up on the screen leading to a thre on the other end.

Lavoy badly short on that J.

Dre, take the charge on Duncan!

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:29

Lou for Two! Picking up where he left off.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:30

Terrible shot again Lavoy. Shoot in the flow, not forcing it.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:30

Hell of a recovery Thad.

That was a fucking walk on Parker. God damnit, Violet. Just gave them three points.

Court_visioN reply to Brian on Feb 8 at 19:32

I think the Sixers feed showed Neal's foot on the line when he made that save too. 2 blown calls.

MCT reply to Brian on Feb 8 at 19:32

She also missed Neal stepping out of bounds. She is a super lady

2 bad calls from violet, parker traveled and neal was out bounds when he saved the ball

And here I though Violet Palmer was a great ref :)

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:32

Oh my, good hands by Lavoy!

Moving screen on Bonner.

So they already got 3 calls wrong. Nice officiating.

jrue 3!!!

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:33

Jrue 4 3!!

Horrible D on the pick Jrue

Lavoy POTG right now for what he is doing to protect the lane.

PHI 24, SAS 26 after one.

Thought Allen really gave them a lift when he came in. Overall, not a good quarter.

they can't keep up with out athleticism.
bailout calls and shots keeping them afloat.

Need to get your shit together on the pick-and-roll.

Almost identical stat lines in the first. Difference was one extra turnover for the Sixers, one extra made hoop for the Spurs.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:37

Stay w/ Gary Neal.

Great board by Allen, I think. Get Lou's mom off the screen, please.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:37

Thad's got to take Bonner.

Thought Leonard was bigger than that, doesn't look much bigger than Turner.

P&R again. Fuck.

Lavoy needs to stop fucking shooting

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:38

Damn, Allen's even off when open. Like vs Lakers.

Allen can't hit the broad side of a barn tonight. Give the ball to Thad.

problems here w/ both AI9 and JH on the bench to start the quarter.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:40

Dammit Evan, too much one on one. No movement.

don't like that quick shot by turner

uggh. need to re-discover that hoop

Need to get either AI9 or Jrue back in. Maybe Brand as well. Lavoy's been great on the glass, but he needs to stop shooting.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:41

Thad has the mismatch. If you're not going to isolate at the free throw line like a min ago, run that side pick n roll w/ him and Lou. Doug should be ripping them a good one right about now.

I am still waiting to see ET develop a way to be successful against longer, more athletic defenders. They have bothered him since college- but I think he eventually figure it out.

Right now he is dominant when covered by a smaller or slowoer defender. But not against guys with both length and quickness.

There you go, Thad.

Real stinker for the night shift.

Come on, that's fucking lazy. They're just going to eat you alive on the P&R if you keep playing it like that.

They're going to it really early in the clock, Sixers need to be on their toes.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:44

Our bigs have to stay w/ Splitter when he's rolling or slipping. He's slipped at least two for layups, one on Allen and that one on Vuc. Shit

why the incessant doubling?

They're so out of sorts. Doubling the ball, not accomplishing anything w/ the double, then there's no rotation on the weak side to pick up the big. Gotta wake up.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:47

There you go Lou. Get to the line.

May need Iguodala to score a ton tonight.

Pick and pop that time, lucky Bonner missed the three.

These early plays are killing them, it's like SAS isn't really letting their defense get set.

Great D by Jrue there on isolation.

Brand still short on the jumper.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:49

Leonard's guarding Lou. Iso up top?

Turtle Bay on Feb 8 at 19:49

Who keeps yelling "short!" on every shot? Is that Brand?

Alvin reply to Turtle Bay on Feb 8 at 20:11

The voice does sound like Brand's.

OK, keep moving the ball on offense. Argh, Lou.

good job eb

Need to see more of that from Jrue.

Great fucking pass, Jrue. EB w/ the catch, finish, +1. Hit the freebie.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:50

Sweet quick pass Jrue to EB. and one opportunity

great defense there

Great D. Great fucking D. Let's go.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:51

Good rotation there by Andre.

finally Brand gets a hoop.
it's funny how Jefferson has been so quiet. Iggy owns him.
Jrue playing awesome D on parker.

Sprurs looked really old

JRUE! What a find.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:52

Ohhhh, Jrue w/ a sneaky pass to Thad.

10-0 run...

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:52

Ugh, Lou w/ two wide open misses. Keep shooting it though.

Yep, two times, too open.

Ugh, perfect look for Lou.

Man, they're going so early on the offensive end.

Was that a foul, no good angle

Closing time lineup here. Down 2, let's see how they finish the quarter.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:54

Jrue Thad pick and roll. Thad just doesn't draw contact though, contorting away from it. Dammit, he just doesn't believe in getting to the line.

it's why he's able to finish like a thief with miniscule space. strength and weakness.

Maybe Thad's ability of avoiding the long arms is why he is so efficient at scoring points in the paint.

eddies' heady's reply to Dwight on Feb 8 at 19:58

Sure, he'd be that much more efficient if he'd get to the line too.

ET off the inbound.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:56

Good play out of timeout.

eb jumper

Jrue's 7th dime.

Fuck me. Turner foul him there? Yeah.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 19:59

Bad shot by Andre. Contested.

Thad doesn't draw contact again, ugh.

Get a hoop here, please.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:00

Come on EB, can't be picking up cheapies. Man...

Jrue needed to put some kind of move on Duncan there. Is that three on EB?

Closing time lineup not performing in this run.

dre to the line

I should have known better.

Another nice pass inside by Jrue. AI9 to the line. Will he ever hit a pair again?

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:01

Good pass Jrue. That's the second or third time we've run that baseline screen for a look under the hoop I think.

Jrue switched, Allen didn't on that last play. Don't think Jrue should've stuck to Duncan.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:03

They're carving us up when they're on offense.

Lavoy is very confused at what he's supposed to do if there's a screen or traffic in his way.

carving us on up on careless play.

When I watch Parker it reminds me of AI in how the refs default to blowing the whistle if there is anyone near him playing defense. But I guess both guys earned it.

time out to call lou iso

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:05

Lou w/ the hoop.

Great come from behind by Iguodala so they couldn't get a shot off.

Gonna be a helluva battle in 2nd half. Let's see how DC adjusts to them getting in that early offense so much.

PHI 45, SAS 48 at the half.

It's amazing they're only down three considering how easy it's been for the Spurs to score. Collins needs to get this p&r defense sorted out in the locker room.

A bit worrisome performance. Hope they have their traditional hot 3rd qtr.

You don't want a close game because Pop is worth a few points (since he won't make any stupid coaching moves like many others) and the Spurs have guys who have experience with close games (and the refs.)

Lets go Sixers. I have 100 push ups riding on this game!!

They had the most success when Jrue was just going way under the pick on the p&r. SAS countered by running him into an immediate second pick before he could even get back to Parker. I think you need the big to sag back so Jrue has room to go under the pick between the big and our big. Going to be interesting to see how Collins adjusts.

having Voose in there would help too I think; long arms can help him recover even if parker blows by.

More rebounds at half time then at the end of last game.

Phil reply to Phil on Feb 8 at 20:08

I already see a big difference with Brand out there with the rebounding, even if this is not as tough a frontcourt to matchup with.

Pleased that Doug gave Vuce a chance to start instead of Battie, shame about the early foul trouble. Hope he can stay off foul trouble and play a bit in the second half.

It's a weird game, because though the P&R defense (as Brian pointed out) can be much improved, the Spurs have only shot 39% yet have 48 points at the half.

It should be a close good fight. I've come to expect the Sixers to compete with these strong teams to the end, that's how much progress they've made this year. Just a good 3rd quarter run and we got this.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:16

26 of their 48 pts in the paint. Clean that up soon.

OK, let's go. Smother them here to start the third.

AI9 hits the J.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:21

Start off w/ a long J. Made it, Dre.

Jrue w/ the J.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:22

Jrue w/ a not so likeable quick J. Made it though.

AI9 to the cup and finishes!

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:22

More of that hard attack Andre.

Brand on Duncan here instead of Voose, now they switched back.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:23

Jrue w/ another quick long J. Decent look though.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:24

Bad shot by Dre. Contested jumper. come on

Jrue couldn't get over the pick that time. Should've probably gone under, but it wasn't quite out on the floor high enough.

Three straight missed Js. Go to the hole.

Jrue forces the TO.

4 straight missed Js.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:25

Vuc missing another open J. 15 fter.

They're getting into the paint, particularly Parker. We're settling for J's, particularly Jrue.

dre to the hoop

Perfect example of a vet gimmee call.

Duncan double teamed and decides to try and dribble. The defense hits the bal and they call a reach in. No way that type of play should be a foul when a big puts in on the floor like that.

AI9 to the hole again. Come on, keep driving. Parker out really early. I think Pop wants him rested, then he's going to bring him back in when Jrue comes out.

Voose w/ his third turnover.

Point-blank, and he coughs it up throwing it back out. How I wish we had a big who could fucking dunk from a standstill.

eddies' heady's reply to Brian on Feb 8 at 20:30

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:29

Dammit Vuc.... and two on other end. Timeout.

They're getting in the paint at will. Just breaking the D down. Zone them up a time or two, it can't get any worse.

Good offensive board by Nikola but bad pass. It's a rough night for the rookie.

The Sixers are close because Iguodala has hit a lot of shots. Unfortunately I seriously doubt that is sustainable or a recipe for them winning this game.

The Spurs 100% have control of the tempo and style of this game. Unless the Sixers can get it to be more their type of game they are unlikely to win.

O-boards are keeping them afloat.

Kinda wish Meeks had jacked that three.

Alvin reply to Brian on Feb 8 at 20:37

I was thinking the exact same thing.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:32

Vuc w/ a wide open miss. ugh

again the long twos Jrue

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:33

Started the 1st quarter w/ nothing but long jumpers. Started off the 3rd quarter w/ nothing but long jumpers.

Recipe for a sizeable deficit, only down 5 though? Just a piss-me-off-er.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:35

Come the fuck on ..............

Come on. Clean up the offense. Jesus.

Brand wants it.

Evan Turner sighting

They will have to be lucky to win this one. Something like the LA game where they exploded at the finish. Because right now the only positive is they are close. But the Spurs have completely controlled the battle of wills in terms of style of play.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:37

If we could somehow contain Gary Neal, we'd by up by a few. Parker is gonna get his, which he's having little resistance doing, but Neal is the X factor.

Brand is showing some guts.

Jrue has gone quiet in the second half. We need more of his first half play if we're gonna score enough to stay in this.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:38

Evan can't guard or stay with Parker. And you have Lou now on Neal. ugh

He really can't, no idea why they put him on Parker.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:39

Not a good shot Evan.

pick n roll-ed to death.

Ugh, Turner faked his way into the defender on that one.

Fucking sissy fouls. Nothing drives me crazier than sissy fouls on the inside.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:40

Lou got fouled, with the body.

Lou should be on the line right now. He got more contact than fucking Parker did on that plus one on the other side.

This is getting out of hand now.

How is that a foul but Lou's drive is not?

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:41

OK Doug, how long are you gonna leave Evan out to dry on Parker? geez

Really hating this screen d. might work with most guards, but definitely not Parker

Yep, Thad on Bonner.

Thanks for getting it back, Lou.

OK, get a stop.

3 travels,0 called

Tony Parker = AI with foul calls.

Of course Violet bails him out. Of course.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:43

Evan tried valiantly that time, but it's just ridiculous to ask him to guard Parker.

Doug giving Violet the business....

they just keep whistling.

Lou for one.

Get a stop and a hoop on the other end.

what the fuck was that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:44

FUck YOu VIolet!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah fuck you. you're just mad cause Doug whispered in your ear the last free throw.

Fuck that fucking shit. Unreal. UNFUCKINGREAL.

Worst ref in pro sports- and that includes the guy in jail...

WOW! Fucking Palmer

hehe Turner breathed heavily on Parker.

PHI 67, SAS 75 after three.

I'm disgusted, both by the play and by Violet Palmer.

2 worst reffed games of the year, no doubt, both the Violet P games. Fucking piece of shit.

It's tough enough playing the Spurs. But WTF was that last call? That was ridiculous if that was a foul each game would have 100 free throws each way and take 5 hours to complete.

Can't play defense on Parker without getting called on bullshit, and....he gets three steps each time he drives. Gonna be tough to close this out.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:48

Evan gave about the softest hip action of a poodle air-humping a german shephard, an air-hump that caught more air than leg, and she quickly places air in the whistle. Pitiful.

I always liked tulips.

Pops and Collins are both great coaches. They get their teams to define the style of play that works for their roster. Unfortunately Pops' team has won that battle tonight (so far.)

Nice D, Voose. Excellent.

Jesus fucking christ.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:52

Vuc has got to get back to Splitter, or someone has to rotate over quickly.

No way we come back from this. If we do, I'll be shocked.

bench got nothing tonight

I'm out. It's almost 3 AM here and this is not pretty. Cu.

Amazing D by Lavoy.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:54

Jrue's only played around 25 min, Doug must have been really upset w/ his D on Parker to keep Evan, and now Jodie, on TP for this long.

Nah, that's his normal minutes to this point. On pace for 35.

still very winnable game. starters and Thad will have to log mad minutes. play the rest of the 4th.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:55

Huh? Tony Parker posting up Jrue? and Jrue was fronting him? sheesh

Splitter is pretty solid. First time seeing him play. Sets solid screens, rolls hard, and has a good touch.

great shot Turner keep making Magee proud

MCT reply to MCT on Feb 8 at 20:56

I said this after the three miss

OK, Thad.

let's go. get stops.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:56

Thad is hype, pumping the guys up when getting back on D..

Let's go!!

Big Will on Feb 8 at 20:57

Love Thad's Intensity.

jrue 3!!!!!!

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:58

Dammit, terrilbe o-possession, standing around watching Evan, then Lou.

O-board, Jrue 4 3!

Fuck, Gary Neal again. Come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

That was a fucking moving screen on bonner. Stupid play by Jrue.

Goes to the hoop on the other end.

Lou is fuming, as he should be.

Lou was wrong- but I understand the frustration.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 20:59

Splitter fouled Lou, no?

Tech? huh? on Lou? Lou's pissed the hell off, and he should be, he got body from Splitter.

Had it to 5. If they push it back to 10 after this timeout I'm afraid it's over.

That's the 2nd time tonight Jrue made a 3, then immediately fell asleep and let them hit a 3 at the other end.

He was straight up to start, but then brought his left down and raked Lou. Horrible calls all night

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:01

Wonder why Violet never makes screwed up calls vs the other teams we play? Seems to always be slanted against us.

Two things I've learned this game: The Spurs are allowed to travel on every other play and any game Violet Palmer refs, we will lose. The two may possibly be related.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:02

I love how Gary Neal runs off screens and off the ball. So relentless.

Jrue to the line. Hit 'em both.

He's out of practice. 1/2

Can't remember the last time I saw Jrue shoot A FT

Atta boy, Thad.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:04

Thad J. Down to 6. D up dammit!

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:04

EB was never set on that shot, rushed it.

Damnit, needed that hoop by EB. Come on, STOPS

Don't fold. Keep the D up. Give Duncan a fucking tech.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:06

Isn't that a moving screen on Duncan? damn......

eddies' heady's reply to eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:07

maybe not after replay he set and re-set

I was sure they were gonna call it on Brand there. Ugh. The shots just not falling for us.

Really tough to keep attacking like this when the refs continue to swallow their whistles.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:09

ok, get a stop.

Lou catch and shoot. Come on!

Played that one pretty well, didn't matter. Parker hit it anyway.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:11

I mean, what the hell can Jrue do when they set two screens for Parker like that? After he goes under the first one, there's Duncan setting another one.

Not much, apparently.

eddies' heady's reply to Brian on Feb 8 at 21:17

Do you feel like Parker would make you pay if you immediately trapped him like we do sometimes vs Derrick Rose?

Just not going to be their night. They needed better play earlier in the game.

Can Lou boss us into a W again?

This is pretty much what I expected before the game. The Sixers have proven that defending the pick and rolls against penetrating point guards is their biggest weakness because they don't have a true shot blocker. First Andre Miller, then Deron Williams, and now Tony Parker.

Poor effort, but the Spurs are a good team. It happens.

One thing though: I am so sick of Violet Palmer reffing NBA games. She's a joke.

eddies' heady's reply to Rich on Feb 8 at 21:19

Who was the previous game against when she raped us this year?

Denver, block/charge call against ET. Ironically, the one's tonight were against him too.

Rich reply to Rich on Feb 8 at 21:25

I'm not sure if they win the game anyway, thought they just got outplayed, but she needs to be put to a stop. I can't handle her dumbass stare after she makes repeated awful calls.

I'm a big fan of the "You think I missed that call, wait 'til you see this one" instead of the makeup.

If I was Collins, I'd call my wife and tell her to make out a check for about $50K to the NBA before this press conference. He should really say something about her.

Agree it didn't cost them the game, but that's atrocious.

eddies' heady's reply to Brian on Feb 8 at 21:33

Do they show press conferences online anywhere?

its over already, to sum it up,
reporter: why didnt you get to the line more?
doug: im going to respectfully not answer that.....
asked a similar question again, goes on how his wife has the checkbook
then someone asked a question about missing spence

eddies' heady's reply to sixerfan1220 on Feb 8 at 21:37

Does nba.com or csnphilly.com carry them after every game online?

eddies' heady's reply to Rich on Feb 8 at 21:31

Is Ronnie Nunn still over the officials? You'd think he'd downgrade her or reprimand her or something, if he is in charge or whoever is.

Denver...she called a bullshit charge against Turner late in the game that was a real momentum killer

TS reply to Rich on Feb 8 at 21:21

That touch foul call was outrageous. Clear ref influence on a game. She should get suspended for that shit.

Parker once only shot 65% from the line during his 3rd NBA season.

eddies' heady's on Feb 8 at 21:16

Well, when I wake up each morning on gameday, you get vibes about that night's game. My vibe this morning was about Jrue stunting Tony Parker and this game being way tougher than the Lakers. Don't like it when I have bad vibes like that. Shit.

Parker - 11 free throw attempts
Jrue - 2 free throw attempts

that sure doesn't help

While I absolutely agree that Jrue's inability to get to the line is a big problem this season-disappointing, as he made strides last year-remember when Igoudala got to the line 8 times a game? And made 80% of his attempts? Now that was in 06-07, I goudala was younger and was being thrust into the role of principal offensive option on a subpar team, I get all that(and I am an Iggy fan, now more than ever). Point, I guess, that the inability to get to the line is a team problem, even if it is most frustratingly apparent in Jrue's case, given his excellent FT% and the fact that he seemingly has all the abilities necessary to get to the line a lot more frequently than he does...

Looks like Richard Jefferson is finally going to get a point.

Hated that Iggy 3. I rather let Lou throw one up.

And the turnover right out of the timeout seals it.

Moving ode to men "patting each other on the rear on the floor" from Malik. As to the game, our defensive struggles wouldn't matter if we scored at a decent clip tonight. We have 90 points on, what, 108 possessions?

PHI 90, SAS 100 final.

Disappointing. Hate losing.

EB is my POTG for being the only big who seemed to give a fuck.

Brand was a man tonight.

Props to the Spurs. They did not look super talented out their as a team- but they made the Sixers player their game, and the Spurs were better at that style.

Tonight sure showed how green Vucevic really is. Thought Allen looked better than him, and he even stunk it up at times. Though, I've thought Allen has looked better than him since he cracked the lineup.

Vucevic looked like he didn't even belong. Tough night for the kid.

On the bright side, Magic over Heat and looks like Hawks over Pacers.

Andre Iguodala postgame Wednesday on the free throw discrepancy (26-11): "You know how the whistle’s going to go, depending on who you play. Going into games like this, we pretty much know it’s not going to go our way."

cant wait till friday when blake gets every call

Collins was apparently lobbying for the All Star game tonight. I really, really want Iguodala to get the nod, but there's this little voice in the back of my mind that thinks if the Sixers don't get a player into the A.S. game, Collins could turn that into some serious motivation. It might be a good thing to have them playing with an "eff you" chip on their shoulder the rest of the season.

This is a silly article, but check out the offensive rebounds allowed with and without Hawes.
