This roster has to be one of the worst ever in Sixers history. And not anything to do with record, they're just a really low and poor collection of talent. A sore to watch.

Several of you all used to say the word "fungible", well every piece on this whole squad is fungible including its' best player. This will have to go down as way worse than the Eddie Jordan year and others before it mainly because of that.

A lot of these guys flat out stink, others just don't smell as much. And that's about what we have with our '12-'13 76ers. Sad times it is.

And that's not as much a complaint as it is a laborious love. Unfulfilled laborious love.

Management never seems to get it though.

Ah, the life. Sixers baby, welcome to it. It hardly ever changes.

The Seventy-Sixers, where braintrust trades 1st rounders for Arnett Moultries!

Progress indeed.

LOL! The Cavs announcer just said coming back from that recent TV timeout "I'm sure Evan Turner's foot is tapping here at the Q, as they're playing 'Hang on Spooky'".

(it was the song where the hook goes "spooky, hang onnn..." and he sang it in the background as the guy was saying it)

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

It'd be nice if Evan would go on a tear here down the stretch just like Hawes has been doing, hoping to increase his trade value too. What a summer?

OVERTIME for michigan

Didn't see you tonight's game. Just watching the highlights. I noticed it Evan Turner doesn't shoot at the top of his jump when he takes a jumpshot. That could be the reason he's so inconsistent.

user-pic
mymanjrue on Mar 29 at 21:51

trey burke is playing out of his mind right now

Also he has gotten away from rebound the ball on defense.

Taking the Depressed Fan point of view that the Sixers' brass is going to end up taking either Cody Zeller or Plumlee (hate both of them), I really hope they choose Plumlee. I have seen 12 of Zeller's games, and he is just a terrible player. Like not even a bench player. He has no ability to create his own shot in the post. He is too weak to operate on the low post, and on the high post he just dribbles straight in one direction, tries to go up for a shot, and gets blocked. It seems that the only halfway decent part of his offensive game is scoring from putbacks, and I don't see that translating to the next level (as he plays incredibly weak). At least Plumlee has some athleticism. Depressing.

tim duncan is something else

This is an interesting chart. It shows each team's PER by position, offensively and defensively. On our team, the 4 is the only spot where we significantly outperform the other team. We're heavily outperformed by opposing centers. 2 and 3 are nearly a draw, surprisingly. Not only can you compare within our team's chart, you can also eyeball how, say, opposing centers do against us compared to how they do against other teams. It looks like we're just about the worst center-defending team in the league.

Since both the playoffs and a top 3 pick are out of the question, might as well play well to end the season. Let's hope Spencer and maybe now ET finish strong so they up their trade value a little.

Probably should've been easier than it was, but a win it is. Turner is your POTG. Big third quarter for him. Jrue put the game away when he returned in the fourth. 12 of the final 14 points and an assist on the other hoop. He pretty miserable up to that point, though. 20 on 20 ain't great.

We saw a lot more of the typical Hawes tonight than we've seen over the past ten games, wonder if his deal with the devil is almost up.

Suns try to tank by sitting Dragic, players hilariously take their coach/management to task in the press, saying no one in the draft is worth it:

The Dragic move privately disturbed some Suns who have been trying to adhere to the mantras for all-out effort, no excuses and a winning culture.

The Suns known for high effort — Dragic, P.J. Tucker, Luis Scola and Shannon Brown — have seen recent time reductions....

[Tucker]: "I watch college and nobody there could impact the team like what people think. There are no game-changers. That's so irrelevant to guys in the locker room."

"We don't look at it as tanking because we've still got to go to practice every day," Suns co-captain Jermaine O'Neal said. "If you go out there, you really are trying to win. It's a tough period with nine games to go and everybody wants that draft pick. I guess since the women's team (the Mercury won the WNBA draft lottery's No. 1 pick). I wasn't even here and I heard that a lot last year — tanking the season to get Brittney Griner. If you're going to do it, then that's what you do it for because she changes the outlook of that team right away. I don't believe any college player on the men's side can have the same effect as a Brittney Griner.

"Based off everything you hear, nobody in the draft could make this team a contender right away. You have to protect your entity."

I'd be kind of upset if the players on my favorite team weren't upset about an intentional tank.

It's a little funny coming from P.J. Tucker, a second-round pick who floated around in Europe for years before he got back to the NBA. And of all the teams in the league, the Suns are probably one of two or three in the greatest need of new young talent, whether it's game-changing or not.
