First game I have seen this season...

I was really impressed by the rookies as well. Two plays (one by Young and one by Smith) gave me all of the encouragement I needed. The first came from Smith in the first when he passed up an open shot from the elbow to go strong to the rim and take Yao head on. The other was when Young fought for post position against the smaller Bonzi Wells in the third and eventually drew a foul. They really look to be players that have the potential to provide a real spark off the bench when resting the starters. The rotation appeared to work great tonight and it was nice to see Willie Green explode in the first and hopefully boosting his trade value. After tonight, I can see no reason that Thaddeus and Smith don't see 10-12 minutes of action each game... hopefully more.

This team is a lot closer than people realize.

Graham,

We're seeing a lot of the same traits from this team now that we saw last year after AI was traded. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I forgot about that drive by Smith, very impressive.

Young is an animal on defense, he's all over the place. I think with a little seasoning, he's going to take some of the burden off Iguodala, he may lock down the other team's best offensive player allowing Iguodala to rest from time to time on D.

The best thing about this team is that there isn't a bad apple in the bunch. They all seem to love playing together, they all seem to be good guys and they all seem to be having fun out there.

If they keep playing like this, by the end of the season the Wach shouldn't be half empty every night.
