Sixers

, all the time

Yeah, that "homerun" call was so quick, and so emphatic, I had visions of it ending up in the new Stadium. Either way, do you ever get the feeling when you're listening to a game that Moose is pitching that those two are just waiting for the wheels to come off? Just waiting for that moment he gives up three homeruns in a row. I don't think anyone will stop being surprised by Moose this year.

He's pitching like a stud. Literally, a complete stud.

Check this out, over his last 5 starts Moose has a 3-1 record with this pitching line:

32 innings, 32 Ks, 33 hits, 3 walks, 5 earned runs.

That's good for a 1.41 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 9.0 K/9, 0.84 BB/9

Unreal.

What up Brian-

Good post today.

Just wanted to chime in and remind you how last year we were both cursing Mussina and his awful performances. He was a prototipical 5 and fly guy.

Like Pete Abe said on his blog today "Where would we be without him this year".

kept one eye on the game as I worked and don't recall seeing any broken bats by Damon.

56-45.

11 games over.

Bring on the SAWX.

p.s.- I'm sitting here watching NESN getting ready to watch the Sawx game and they are interviewing Papelbon, the guys got DogS**T for brains.
He can barely put a sentence together. Don't talk, just pitch dude.

He's a moron.

Seriously, last year I dreaded games Moose would pitch. I never for a second thought he'd bounce back like this.

The Yanks have Moose, the Phils have Jamie Moyer. Both old guys are enjoying solid seasons pitching without the velocity they were once known for. Proof that you can reinvent yourself as a pitcher.

Not to be off topic, but Eagle training camp has opened, rookies are in, McNabb and the vets are reporting and care to comment on the rumor that the Pack talked to the Eagles about trading Farve here? (hope they didn't answer that call...)

Hey JJ,

My Eagles coverage has been pitiful, but I'm hoping to pick it up soon. I'm planning another trip to Lehigh.

Favre in Philly...ugh. That's the last thing we need right now. McNabb needs a healthy, productive season, not more pressure from someone else on the bench. Let's see what he has left. Westbrook's contract has me more worried than anything at this point.
