Sixers

, all the time

I, like most, am getting fed up with these games. It's bad enough being an Eagles fan too with two coaches mismanaging talent, but I think the Sixers are a little more at fault (all relatively healthy).
I would think, as a coach, Mo would have called plays with those situations in mind. Without TOs, you have to have your players well-informed on end of game actions.
Also, I totally agree with your comment on Andre. Annoyed in the 1st half, ending the game with that shot and that amount of time left is unacceptable. Andre should not be taking that, and the players should have been coached in what to do in that scenario.
Another note, why don't you foul Howard in that situation? Although that is a rather defensive strategy and Howard is shooting 13/18, don't you take the game away from Orlando's shooters? I know you have to be confident in your defense to stop Orlando for one play, but isn't the samrt play to foul a 54% FT shooter? Worse comes to worse, he hits both and you have time to run one more play?

Disappointing loss. If this team does not get it together soon, Mo will have to go. Too much potential on the line.

Brian - Do me a favor and go look at that last play again. I have been having this conversation on my blog about what really happened on that play. I pretty much disagree with anyone saying Thad made a mistake there.

I think people are assuming what happened without really watching it closely. I say that because you are now the second person that has said Iguodala was on Turk and that Sammy was there for help. Samuel Dalembert had fouled out of the game over a minute before that and Willie Green entered the game for Theo for more quickness and shooting if the Sixers got the ball. Brand was defending Howard on that pick and roll.

Just go take another look at that play and give me your thoughts after a few more views of the video. For my take on in check this comment on my blog.

You know what, you're right Dalembert had fouled out. I'm on vacation so I don't have the ability to watch it over again. Was it Brand? There was a big there for the double and he was trailing the play when Turk went left. Must have been Brand or Theo if he was in.

It was Brand. They ended up switching the screen so Brand was on Turk and he got by him which is why Thad came over to help. I thought he played it just right.
