Sigh...it's nice that people can kick iguodala even when he's gone...

The opportunity was right there. The opportunity to continue to be what you've been for the past half decade. The opportunity to send your fans home saying, "Not again." The opportunity to fail in the most excruciatingly painful way. Instead, they rallied behind their embattled leader and watched him calmly sink the second of two free throws and the Chicago Bulls' hopes of a dramatic comeback with one flip of the wrist. The good news is this game was much more reminiscent of the way the Sixers played earlier in the season than their recent stretch of hopeless play. The bad news is that this was reminiscent of their early season play in that they did everything they could to lose a close game. (game capsule)

Contrary to their usual pattern, the Sixers used a consistent offensive attack throughout the game and a late defensive surge to put another double-digit victory on the board over the Utah Jazz tonight. (game capsule).

wonderful information :)...

It seems like wraps fall into one of two categories: either a blowout win over a bad team or a heartbreaking loss to a good team. This one was the former as the Sixers made a fool of the apple of so many fans' eyes, Monta Ellis. The man who made him look the fool? None other than Andre Iguodala, the one so many want to trade for Ellis. (game capsule)

What basketball team do you root for. It's clear you have no positive things to say about the sixers. ...

The latest in a string of demonstrative wins came over Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, 98-82. Here's the thing about this win that should have people taking notice. The Sixers played the exact same game they've been playing all year. They used the exact same formula they've been using to kill bad teams to absolutely demoralize the Chicago Bulls. Derek Rose had no clue what to do against the Sixers defense in the third quarter. For all intents and purposes, the Bulls looked about as effective against this Sixers defense as the Wizards. (game capsule, by the way, check after the jump for the rest of the posterization above)

The Sixers impressed tonight with their play, to be sure, but what was perhaps more impressive was their energy. On the second night of a back-to-back, against a bad team, with a series of games against strong teams on the horizon, the Sixers showed a relentless focus and put the Pistons away for their 14th win of the season. Here's the video of Andre Iguodala's pass to himself, off the backboard, for a vicious two-handed dunk against the Pistons tonight. Enjoy, and happy 28th birthday to @mindofai9.
