Click for full story. Why not? Why can't it happen now? The Sixers have proved they're nothing if not streaky this season. Tonight, they can push their winning streak to three games and pull to within two games of at least one of the three teams they're chasing in the playoff hunt. A win over the New Jersey Nets...too much to ask?

Click for full story. Two-in-a-row, huh? It's been quite some time since the Sixers have strung two wins together, and even longer since their nominal point guard had 7 assists in a game. Both strings of futility came to an end in Toronto tonight. (game capsule)

Click for full story. Well, the losing streak is over. The Nets graciously hosted the Sixers for a romp reminiscent of the 20-9 start. Doug Collins' panic button starting lineup laid an egg, but the bench was buoyed by a seemingly motivated Spencer Hawes. The Sixers gradually pulled away from the Nets for their elusive 30th win of the season. (game capsule)

Click for full story. Now might be a good time to flip it. The Sixers look to halt their free fall in Newark tonight, against the 21-37 New Jersey Nets. The Bucks lost last night, pushing the Sixers 1.5 games ahead of the lottery.

Click for full story. The Celtics' systematic dismantling of the Sixers on Easter dropped Philly 3 games back for the division, tied with the Knicks for the #7 seed (on the wrong end of the tiebreaker) and one game ahead of Milwaukee for the coveted #9 seed and an early start to their summer. Quite a day. (game capsule)

Click for full story. I'm not going to look this up because, well, I already feel like I've put too much energy into caring about this team, so let's just assume the Sixers are the first team to lose to the Wizards and the Raptors by 20 points or more. The good news, the Sixers did it in less than a week! (game capsule)

Click for full story. Eventually, this win one/lose one pattern will be broken. The Sixers only focus against the Raptors is to make damned sure it isn't broken tonight. If the Sixers are going to have a prayer of finishing with better than the #7 seed, they have to beat the bad teams. Toronto has clearly earned the adjective.

Click for full story. The Sixers entered this game with a talent deficit. Even with Dwyane Wade out, the Heat have more top-end talent. The way to overcome that deficit is to identify an advantage and press it. And keep pressing it until the other team has to do something drastic to take away, then you exploit their fix. Tonight, Doug Collins had a huge advantage handed to him in the first half, and he completely let the Heat off the hook. (game capsule).
