Click for full story. Now that two weeks of the season have officially been flushed down the dumper and all games in this calendar year are probably in jeopardy pending tomorrow's meeting, players are nearing the point where this lockout will cause them some actual pain (meaning, the point where the escrow checks the owners were forced to cut will be outpaced by lost wages). Click for full story. As both sides sit on their hands in the stalled NBA labor negotiations and the clock ticks down to lost games and possibly a lost season, it's nearing time to find an alternative fix for you basketball jones. Jason Kapono is gone and there have been several rumors of Andres Nocioni's departure swirling as well. A guy who could fill the role nicely is Reggie Williams and he may have just become more available.

Click for full story. David Stern and his gaggle of lawyers struck a preemptive blow against the NBA in the form of a couple of lawsuits yesterday. The suits are an attempt to turn the decertification move on its head, and if the owners get the desired result, decertification would turn the league on its head.

Click for full story. The two sides in the NBA labor dispute sat down at the negotiating table yesterday for the first time in over a month. As was expected, they came away from their session no closer to a deal. I guess it's a positive sign that they met, but it's hard to shake the feeling these meetings are little more than keeping up public appearances at this point.
