Click for full story. It seems as though no matter what changes the Hawks make, no matter what injuries they suffer, they're consistently a step below the top of the Eastern Conference when the season comes to an end. The constant has been their front line of Josh Smith and Al Horford. Tonight, the Sixers will look to keep their laughable playoff hopes alive on the road in Atlanta against this maddeningly pretty good team.

Click for full story. If the Charlotte/Philadelphia matchup in and of itself isn't enough to float your boat (and why would it be?), tonight we'll at least have a new (if somewhat familiar) face to check out on the floor. Justin Holiday joins his little brother for the new-look Sixers after their brief late-season respite tonight in the mighty Bobcats' house.

Click for full story. The Sixers will play host to a team that really knows how to tank tonight. A team that's been doing it for years, and will probably continue to do it the right way for years to come. The Charlotte Bobcats dropped their 55th game of the year last night in New York. The Sixers won't need to muster much to push their win streak to three, but they will need to muster a little.

Click for full story. Tonight's game in Cleveland, against the Cavs (who will be missing Irving, Varejao and Waiters) is the first of three straight against the dregs of the league. Only a complete lack of energy and/or focus will stop the Sixers from stringing together a four-game win streak. The good new for the pro-tanking crowd is there's really nowhere for them to move up in the standings.

Click for full story. Believe it or not, the last time the Sixers faced the Bucks this season was salvageable. If everything had gone according to (heavily-modified) plan, they would've won that game, gone into the All Star break two games behind the #8 seed and come out with Bynum added to their lineup for a run to the playoffs. Things did not work out as planned.

Click for full story. Utah put up a good fight to remain in playoff contention for most of the season, but they're definitely limping to the finish line right now. Losers of 12 of 15, the Jazz dropped another last night in Dallas while the Sixers were romping in Sacramento. It's one of my favorite days of the year, the day when I get to see the guy the Sixers should've drafted #2 a couple of years ago and wonder what might have been...

Click for full story. If you're looking for a silver lining as the Sixers head into Denver on the second night of a back-to-back against a club that's only lost three home games all season and is currently riding a 13-game win streak...well, I don't really know why you would be. Jrue only played 33 minutes last night, I guess that helps.

Click for full story. When a team crosses the country dragging a 13-game road losing streak along with them, they'll take whatever luck the schedule-makers can throw their way. Tonight, the Sixers will face a Clippers squad who played (and lost) in Sacramento last night, and saw their most important pieces play heavy minutes

Click for full story. The team I've always loved to hate, the Portland Trail Blazers, will invade the WFC tonight with their jumper-heavy offense. If the Sixers decide to show up, this is another one they could push into the win column.

Click for full story. For the first time in months, the Sixers put together consecutive quality efforts. They took down the Nets behind inspired play from Hawes, then nearly halted Miami's win streak at 19. Tonight, they're going to face the type of team they can beat. Indy is a quality squad, but their offense is bad. They rely on the best defense in the league to carry the #20 offense. The Pacers are quite similar to what the Sixers were last season.

Click for full story. LeBron, Wade and the other 10 guys who ride their coattails think nothing of peaking too early. Tonight, they look to press their NBA season-best winning streak to 20 games. The Sixers, look to improve upon their 18-16 record at home and throw a few more ping pong balls out the window.

Click for full story. Here's one way to know your season is lost and your team is sunk. The other day I looked at Nets box score and said to myself, "Man, this team could use Reggie Evans." It was obviously a passing thought, but still, in the past month, watching our assortment of soft/slow/ineffective big men has led me to not only pine for Reggie Evans' services, but also briefly view Hawes as the thinnest fat girl, if you know what I mean. All of this is a long way of saying the Nets bigs will probably kill the Sixers tonight. If they don't, their smalls will. If they don't, their bench will. It's not an if, it's a how.

Click for full story. April might be an exaggeration, but if the Sixers can't knock off Orlando tonight, they probably won't be favored in a game again until maybe March 30th, vs. Charlotte (possibly the day before, if Kyrie is still malingering). Moe, Voose and Jameer are probably the Sixers best shot to win another before Easter and break their road losing streak that stretches all the way back to New Year's.<
