Click for full story. Throughout the week, basketball writers from the major sites have a number of chats and run rumor columns. Every once in a while, they actually talk about the Sixers. In this column, GoSixers has aggregated the relevant stuff from the chats. You'll see stuff in here that will make you scratch your head, but keep in mind, these guys are experts.

Click for full story. Well, it was sort of a fun game to attend. The Sixers made about 20 different runs to get back into this game, and it seemed like each one was killed by a corner three by the Knicks. When they weren't hitting threes, Amare Stoudemire was hitting everything he threw toward the rim. In the end, it was a split home-and-home and a lost opportunity.

Click for full story. In the first of four straight games against the teams occupying the three playoff spots immediately above them, the Sixers rode their "overpaid" elder statesmen to a thrilling 100-99 win in front of a somewhat hostile home crowd at the WFC. Elton Brand and Andre Iguodala played easily their best game as teammates and led the team to a furious fourth-quarter comeback that they didn't quite let slip away.

Click for full story. They've been beating the bad teams, they've been taking care of their home floor, if the Sixers are going to make some noise in the playoff race, the next step is to start beating the teams ahead of them in the standings. Especially the team directly ahead of them, the New York Knicks, who come the WFC tonight with a three-game edge on the Sixers in their back pocket.

Click for full story. Sixers performance in the clutch: we've talked about it ad nauseum for weeks now. We've all made certain statements based on impressions, but I decided to put numbers behind those impressions. What follows won't be pretty and mostly won't be surprising, but hopefully it will be informative ...

Click for full story. Keeping track of who was initiating the offense tonight was an eye-opener for me. My only regret is that I don't have a before to compare to this after. Doug Collins set the tone by declaring Andre Iguodala would shoulder more of the playmaking load as a point forward, let's see what happened in the road win vs. New Jersey.

Click for full story. When all was said and done, I'm sure most of the Nets fans in attendance at the Prudential Center wish they would've left when Avery Johnson did. The Sixers used a relentless attack on both ends of the floor to put the Nets' three-game home win streak to bed, 106-92 was the final. Jrue Holiday notched the first triple-double of his career, in the first game of the Iguodala-as-point-forward initiative.

Click for full story. First of all, Kudos to Tom Moore for loads of video yesterday, covering this shift (or change) in offensive philosophy from every angle (links to the videos to follow). Now, the news of the moment for the Sixers is an apparent shift to give Andre Iguodala a more active role in initiating the offense. If nothing else, this will give us something to track over the next couple of games.

Click for full story. It's been a tumultuous first six months or so on the job for Doug Collins as the Sixers head coach. He's suffered through bouts of vertigo, a 3-13 start, way too many heartbreaking losses and more. Still, he's got the Sixers in playoff contention and closing in on a .500 record with a roster that doesn't appear to be talented enough to accomplish those meager goals. He must be doing something right.

Click for full story. The never-ending drama swirling around the Sixers perimeter players is bubbling to the surface, yet again. If you've been following the comment thread at all today, you realize Doug Collins recent comments about Andre Iguodala have drawn a reaction, let's dive in a little bit after the jump and hopefully open the conversation up.
