I guess 7 really is their lucky number. The Sixers are now in prime position to not only finish with the #7 seed in the East, but also 7 consecutive losses. You'd think they'd have a decided advantage with both Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen missing from Boston's lineup. Maybe they did, but they certainly didn't take advantage of it in their 100-98 loss to the Celts.

Unforgivable. That's the only way to describe the final possession. Sixers up by two, 6.8 seconds left on the clock and Ray Allen gets a wide-open look at a three from the corner for the win. Absolutely unforgivable.

It looks like Kevin Garnett will miss tonight's game between the Sixers and the Celtics, which is too bad for them. It's taken me a few days to move past the Nets debacle, but I'm ready now. For me, tonight's game needs to be about sending a message to the Celtics, and I'm not just talking about a "We're a good team," message. I'm talking about "We're a bad team," message. Word on the street is that if the Knicks and Stephon Marbury can agree on a buy out figure, he'll be a Boston Celtic before long. This is one of those rumors that warms my heart.

The Sixers put up a little bit of a fight early in the first half, but by halftime, this one was pretty much decided. The 110-91 (f you Eddie House for shooting at the buzzer to pad your stats) win pushes the Celts' streak to 19 in a row. But the Sixers are working on a streak of their own.
