If the Charlotte/Philadelphia matchup in and of itself isn't enough to float your boat (and why would it be?), tonight we'll at least have a new (if somewhat familiar) face to check out on the floor. Justin Holiday joins his little brother for the new-look Sixers after their brief late-season respite tonight in the mighty Bobcats' house.

The Sixers will play host to a team that really knows how to tank tonight. A team that's been doing it for years, and will probably continue to do it the right way for years to come. The Charlotte Bobcats dropped their 55th game of the year last night in New York. The Sixers won't need to muster much to push their win streak to three, but they will need to muster a little.

It's hard to fathom exactly how the Bobcats are 7-7 this season. Their offense is terrible, their defense is below average. Their shot distribution is just crazy. Tonight, the Sixers need to attack this team and make them look like the team that lost by 45 points to the Thunder.

After a horrible first half marred by continued soft interior play and inflated jump shooting by the Bobcats, the Sixers came out in the second half and put the Bobcats in their place. It was a strange night for Doug Collins, one which I'm sure he won't look back upon fondly, but in the end it's just another demonstrative win over a bad team. (game capsule).

The Sixers played a pretty ugly game in Charlotte tonight, but did just enough to come out with a pretty average win. They were far from energetic and dominant, but when the game was on the line they came up with the stops and buckets they needed. As they say, it looks like a line drive in the box score. When fully healthy, the Charlotte Bobcats might just be the worst team in the NBA. Without Gerald Henderson and D.J. Augustin, well, it's a little less debatable. The Sixers have made a habit out of destroying teams like this, they need to keep their foot on the gas tonight and chalk up another road win heading into another tough stretch of games beginning Wednesday.

The Sixers followed up probably their best two quarters of basketball with twelve minutes more minutes of top-notch defense only to see their bench warmers limp to the finish in tonight's 17-point win over the Bobcats. (game capsule).

The Sixers suffered their first bad loss of the season on Wednesday night at the hands of the Nets. Tonight, they get a chance to get their feet back under them against another bad team (with injuries), but they can't make the same mistake they made against NJ. They need to come out with a sense of urgency and maintain it for 48 minutes.

The second half began with an ending far too familiar to Sixers fans across the land. A slim loss, but a loss nonetheless. Crunch-time execution still the fatal flaw, mostly on the defensive end this time. A team devoid of talented big men, made to look like a juggernaut by our soft collection of bigs who play small and a career game for DJ Augustin. It all equals the 25th loss of the season and on the outside looking in at playoff seeding.

The Sixers will go for a season sweep against Charlotte tonight. Their third game this season against the Bobcats, and second in the past four days, sees the Sixers up against a tough scheduling quirk, which is not an unfamiliar feeling.
