Latest comment: from tk76Although I'm hopeful Jrue will turn out to be a good PG... I share the majority of your frustration....
In his latest NBA Chatter column, Marc Stein says the Sixers are one of three teams in the hunt for Memphis PF Hakim Warrick. Up until last week, Warrick was a restricted free agent, but Memphis cut ties with him, possibly because they're hoping to find 40 shots/game for Zach Randolph.
Tom Moore has the scoop on the Sixers' pursuit of CJ Watson. In a nutshell, his sources tell him the Sixers are still interested, but only want to offer a one-year deal. Watson wants two years. After the jump, I've got a solution that may help solve more than one problem.
Over the weekend a few rumors broke regarding point guards named Watson. Earl was bought out by OKC, and the Magic were rumored to be considering signing CJ to an offer sheet. Thoughts on both situations after the jump.

UPDATE: McGrady Rumor breakdown....The first free agency report broke early and will probably break my heart as well. Rockets' GM Daryl Morey apparently rang Marcin Gortat's doorbell at 12:01 a.m. I guess he read my post from earlier Tuesday.

Now that the draft has sorted itself out, and the Sixers have an apparent need for a veteran PG, let's take a look around the league and see who's going to be in the market for a PG, and which PGs are available.
In the comments on yesterday's post, the notion that the Sixers need to use the MLE to bring in an establish point guard to replace Andre Miller was floated. It didn't come out of left field, either. Eddie Jordan flat out said you could not replace Andre Miller with a rookie several times. You can read whatever you want to into that statement, but it does mean that we should take a look at the free agent PG crop with a discerning eye.
Continuing with the theme of the players I want, but the Sixers probably won't get, I thought I'd lay out the situation with Marcin Gortat to the best of my ability. After the jump I'll do my best to explain the CBA, as it applies to Gortat and his situation this Summer.
Royal Ivey has declined his player option for the upcoming season, he will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
