Click for full story. With the Eagles season officially going down in spectacular flames before we even reach December, I suppose it's time to forgive and forget the NBA's most recent unthinkable act. Unless Jeffrey Kessler somehow finds a way to twist some arms and get this thing into a courtroom, where he's been desperate to get it from the jump, the NBA lockout is about to end with the first games to be played on Christmas.

Click for full story. The NBAPA didn't even need the full time allotted by David Stern's latest ultimatum. In a show of tremendous ... hubris, idiocy, unity? ... the union told the league to take their offer and shove it. They also put the league on notice they'll be disbanding the union and suing the league.

Click for full story. The NBA's best offer is on the table. It hasn't improved a whole lot from where it was a week ago, but they've essentially laid all their cards on the table. Take it or leave it by Wednesday, after Wednesday the offers get worse. This bold negotiating tactic has elicited a ton of tough talk from Jeffrey Kesler and Derek Fisher, but does their hot air really matter?

Click for full story. If the lockout ends, and if there's a pure amnesty clause in there, and if the Sixers new owners are willing to shell out some extra money and if this all happens before the entire 2011-2012 season is wiped off the books, I've got an idea.

Click for full story. Now that two weeks of the season have officially been flushed down the dumper and all games in this calendar year are probably in jeopardy pending tomorrow's meeting, players are nearing the point where this lockout will cause them some actual pain (meaning, the point where the escrow checks the owners were forced to cut will be outpaced by lost wages). Let's take a look at how much money the Sixers have lost to this point, and how much they'll lose if/when all 2011 games are cancelled.

Click for full story. If you believe the reports, we might just have a 2011-2012 NBA season. After running the emotional gamut from denial to rage and finally near indifference, is it finally time to start thinking about the Sixers in a meaningful way? Or maybe we shouldn't get our hopes up.

Click for full story. As both sides sit on their hands in the stalled NBA labor negotiations and the clock ticks down to lost games and possibly a lost season, it's nearing time to find an alternative fix for you basketball jones. Some will lean on the NCAA, some will scour the internet for grainy feeds of the Euro leagues, I'll probably find myself in a high school gym or two...or maybe I'll see if I have enough frequent flyer miles to get myself to Vegas in September.

Jason Kapono is gone and there have been several rumors of Andres Nocioni's departure swirling as well. A guy who could fill the role nicely is Reggie Williams and he may have just become more available.

Click for full story. According to the Sporting News, the Sixers #16 pick from this June's draft, Nikola Vucevic, is on the verge of signing a contract to play in Montenegro this season. The Voose would be the first first-round pick taken in this year's draft to make the leap to Europe in anticipation of lost games, or a lost season, due to the lockout.
