Way back in the beginning of October that the Sixers would play their first 29 games of the season without a single minute from Andrew Bynum, how many wins would you have predicted they'd have by this point? So knowing the roster, knowing how players had performed in the past, knowing the pieces they gave up, pieces they acquired, where would you think they'd be right now? A few days before the preseason opener, as training camp winds down the path the Sixers new owners have chosen, at least for the short term, seems pretty clear. The team has returned largely in tact, they've made no major addition and Quin Snyder was the most notable departure. It's about time we take the pulse of the readers.

It's been a tumultuous first six months or so on the job for Doug Collins as the Sixers head coach. He's suffered through bouts of vertigo, a 3-13 start, way too many heartbreaking losses and more. Still, he's got the Sixers in playoff contention and closing in on a .500 record with a roster that doesn't appear to be talented enough to accomplish those meager goals. He must be doing something right.

Following up on the post from earlier today, what do you guys think Doug Collins should do with Turner, in the short term? Vote in the poll and share your thoughts in the comments. Collins apparently hasn't made up his mind yet, but it looks like Nocioni would replace Turner with the first unit if Turner goes back to the bench.

Just after Labor Day, voters here at Depressed Fan were what I would call bullish on the team's prospects. Since then, Doug Collins has changed his lineup 30 times, a couple of guys have gone down with injuries and most of us have seen this team on the floor. It's time for another poll.

Something is going to happen. Something has to happen, right? You can't be expected to make the playoffs, wind up winning a third of your games and not have any kind of shake-up, can you? I know these thoughts have been dominating my mind for a while now, and TK76 had a great idea for a post so let's discuss after the jump.

As a child growing up Christmas morning was a magical time. Gifts wrapped and waiting under the tree, anything at all could've been inside. It truly was a morning of endless possibilities. After the jump, we'll apply that same logic to this Sixers franchise.

It's a Tuesday in the middle of August, there's absolutely nothing going on in the Sixers' world (other than dueling UStream broadcasts by Lou Williams and Andre Iguodala). I figured this would be as good a time as any to get your feelings on one of the big questions I have for the upcoming season.
