Way back on the eve of New Year's Eve, the Sixers blew a big lead to the Jazz in Utah. The shortened season was in its infancy, no one knew what to expect from the Sixers this year and the manner in which they lost was far too reminiscent of the failures of 2010-2011. After that game, the Sixers would go on a tear, putting the late/close failure out of our minds...until the same problems reared their ugly heads recently. Tonight, the Sixers have a chance to overwrite their first big failure of the season and build upon the momentum gained from humiliating Boston on Wednesday.

The Sixers lost to the Bucks, in large part, because they were tired after playing a tough game the night before against the Bulls. Actually, it's not just the fact they played the night before, it was also a result of Milwaukee realizing that and pushing the pace against Philly. They made the game into a track meet early, the Sixers had absolutely no legs left late. Tonight, Boston will drag their old roster to Philly fresh off an overtime win against the Rockets and a combined 164 minutes for their big four. One word: Run.

you can't handle the Shav! He was a good rebounder. Seriously. At least better than our current big men....

What basketball team do you root for. It's clear you have no positive things to say about the sixers. ...

When the Sixers take the floor tonight in Memphis, Marreese Speights will most likely make his 25th start for the Grizzlies. In three-plus seasons in Philly, Speights started a grand total of 4 games. Speights has put up gaudy numbers in a couple of games (20/18, 19/9, 12/15) which has left many Sixers fans asking "Why couldn't he play here." Well, the gaudy numbers are great, but at the end of the day, he's still the same Marreese.

Stretch fours. Big, strong, aggressive centers. Tenacious offensive rebounders. Three things the Sixers really don't have much of an answer for, three things the Minnesota Timberwolves have in spades.
