Click for full story. Way back on the eve of New Year's Eve, the Sixers blew a big lead to the Jazz in Utah. The shortened season was in its infancy, no one knew what to expect from the Sixers this year and the manner in which they lost was far too reminiscent of the failures of 2010-2011. After that game, the Sixers would go on a tear, putting the late/close failure out of our minds...until the same problems reared their ugly heads recently. Tonight, the Sixers have a chance to overwrite their first big failure of the season and build upon the momentum gained from humiliating Boston on Wednesday.

Click for full story. The Sixers lost to the Bucks, in large part, because they were tired after playing a tough game the night before against the Bulls. Actually, it's not just the fact they played the night before, it was also a result of Milwaukee realizing that and pushing the pace against Philly. They made the game into a track meet early, the Sixers had absolutely no legs left late. Tonight, Boston will drag their old roster to Philly fresh off an overtime win against the Rockets and a combined 164 minutes for their big four. One word: Run.

Click for full story. If the trend of the second half continues tonight in Milwaukee, the weary Sixers will take care of the rested Bucks in demonstrative fashion on the road. Last night's game wasn't your average game, though. The Sixers fought tooth and nail against the Bulls and relied on their most important guys for some heavy, intense minutes. Bouncing back is going to be difficult.

Click for full story. When the Sixers last played host to the Chicago Bulls the result was a resounding 16-point win which pushed Philly 10-games over .500 for the first time in a long time and still signifies their best win of the season. Tonight, the Sixers enter with eight straight losses to teams with winning records.

Click for full story. The OKC game is in the past. It still stings, but the Sixers need to put it out of their minds and get back to work tonight. You can only beat the team directly in front of you and that team is Mark Jackson's Golden State Warriors squad. Focus on that, worry about the good teams when you face them again, you're going to have plenty of chances.

Click for full story. When the Sixers play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, for two-and-a-half hours I plan on forgetting all about the previous 35 games, the remaining 30, the race for home-court advantage in the East, the team's long-term cap situation and really anything other than what's happening on the court. Specifically, what's happening with two superb matchups.

Click for full story. The Sixers have a perfect opportunity to work out the kinks and shed their black cloud of losing tonight in Detroit against everyone's hero from All-Star weekend, Greg Monroe and the 11-24 Pistons.

Click for full story. When the Sixers take the floor tonight in Memphis, Marreese Speights will most likely make his 25th start for the Grizzlies. In three-plus seasons in Philly, Speights started a grand total of 4 games. Speights has put up gaudy numbers in a couple of games (20/18, 19/9, 12/15) which has left many Sixers fans asking "Why couldn't he play here." Well, the gaudy numbers are great, but at the end of the day, he's still the same Marreese.

Click for full story. Stretch fours. Big, strong, aggressive centers. Tenacious offensive rebounders. Three things the Sixers really don't have much of an answer for, three things the Minnesota Timberwolves have in spades.

Click for full story. Tucked right between a three-game road trip and a four-game road trip is one game at the WFC for the Sixers, against the defending champs. The Mavs started slowly, but they'll bring a five-game win streak along with them tonight. The Sixers have their work cut out for them in their first national game of the season.

Click for full story. When the Sixers beat the Magic 74-69 a couple of weeks ago, the Magic were in the midst of a dreadful four-game losing streak. Since that game, Orlando has won six of eight games, and their two losses came in overtime. It's probably going to be a very different team the Sixers will face in Orlando tonight.

Click for full story. When fully healthy, the Charlotte Bobcats might just be the worst team in the NBA. Without Gerald Henderson and D.J. Augustin, well, it's a little less debatable. The Sixers have made a habit out of destroying teams like this, they need to keep their foot on the gas tonight and chalk up another road win heading into another tough stretch of games beginning Wednesday.
