Click for full story. The schedule is out, and the Sixers will open the season in Portland on boxing day. Their West Coast trip lasts five games and features a back-to-back, a tough one, going from Utah to Golden State for their typical New Year's Eve game (my wife is thrilled about this). More on the schedule after the jump.

Click for full story. Since the players and owners can't be bothered to have a legitimate negotiation until August, there's really not a whole lot going on in the NBA these days. We might as well waste some time analyzing the schedule that was released yesterday, even if the odds are against the season playing out that way.

Click for full story. Later today in what can either be described as a "thumbing their noses at us," or "slapping us in the face," move, the NBA will release the schedule for the 2011-2012 season. Typically, this is the day when I take a look and try to pinpoint a couple games I'm going to buy tickets for. It's just another step to build the excitement for the upcoming season. Click for full story. Thirteen games in twenty-two days. That's the reality of the situation for the Sixers. A break-neck sprint to the finish line of the first season. Seven at home, six on the road. Some may see this as yet another slap in the face from the schedule makers, and trust me, this wouldn't be the first. Others may see it as an opportunity, I'll tell you why after the jump.
