Click for full story. When the Sixers take the floor tonight in Memphis, Marreese Speights will most likely make his 25th start for the Grizzlies. In three-plus seasons in Philly, Speights started a grand total of 4 games. Speights has put up gaudy numbers in a couple of games (20/18, 19/9, 12/15) which has left many Sixers fans asking "Why couldn't he play here." Well, the gaudy numbers are great, but at the end of the day, he's still the same Marreese.

Click for full story. Kevin Love calmly sank two free throws with 0.1 showing on the clock to extinguish the Sixers hopes of snapping a two-game losing streak on the road in Minnesota. Two things led to Love getting to the line, but those two things were merely symptoms, not the cause of the loss. (game capsule).

Click for full story. Stretch fours. Big, strong, aggressive centers. Tenacious offensive rebounders. Three things the Sixers really don't have much of an answer for, three things the Minnesota Timberwolves have in spades.

Click for full story. With no true post player, and the only legit scoring threat up front being a small, non-stretch PF, the Sixers are left to rely on their backcourt for a whole lot. On the defensive end, they have to work from the outside in. On the offensive end, not only do the smalls have to spoon-feed opportunities to the bigs, but they have to handle the bulk of the scoring as well. For the first 25 games of the season, they did just that. In the last six, they haven't even come close.

Click for full story. The first half went exactly as we'd hoped, the second half went exactly as we'd feared. What was once a 15-point lead turned into a six-point loss as the Sixers slump becomes more and more alarming. (game capsule).

Click for full story. Tucked right between a three-game road trip and a four-game road trip is one game at the WFC for the Sixers, against the defending champs. The Mavs started slowly, but they'll bring a five-game win streak along with them tonight. The Sixers have their work cut out for them in their first national game of the season.

Click for full story. The Sixers used a horrible start to the first quarter, a disastrous end to the first half and consistently poor defensive rotations to submarine what was little more than a few spirited stretches of play in their 87-103 loss to the Magic. (game capsule).

Click for full story. When the Sixers beat the Magic 74-69 a couple of weeks ago, the Magic were in the midst of a dreadful four-game losing streak. Since that game, Orlando has won six of eight games, and their two losses came in overtime. It's probably going to be a very different team the Sixers will face in Orlando tonight.

Click for full story. TK76 takes a close look at how Doug Collins doles out his minutes and perhaps why he makes the rotational decisions he makes. Think of it as fodder for argument, or a much-needed therapy session to brighten up your Valentine's Day. Enjoy.

Click for full story. The Sixers played a pretty ugly game in Charlotte tonight, but did just enough to come out with a pretty average win. They were far from energetic and dominant, but when the game was on the line they came up with the stops and buckets they needed. As they say, it looks like a line drive in the box score. (game capsule).
