The OKC game is in the past. It still stings, but the Sixers need to put it out of their minds and get back to work tonight. You can only beat the team directly in front of you and that team is Mark Jackson's Golden State Warriors squad. Focus on that, worry about the good teams when you face them again, you're going to have plenty of chances.
The loss isn't the tough thing to take. If OKC isn't the best team in the league, they're number 2 or 3. On the second night of a back-to-back, against OKC with a boatload of rest. Losing this game is something you can live with. Standing toe-to-toe with the Thunder for 11 rounds, smothering their strength with your strength only to see it all slip away in the 12th round, and not because they hit you with a haymaker, but because you just couldn't finish them off when you had them on the ropes? That's what hurts. The how hurts oh so much. (game capsule).
Latest comment: from GoSixersAside from the fact I disagree with your take on Chuck's analysis, I was also making a joke....
When the Sixers play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight, for two-and-a-half hours I plan on forgetting all about the previous 35 games, the remaining 30, the race for home-court advantage in the East, the team's long-term cap situation and really anything other than what's happening on the court. Specifically, what's happening with two superb matchups.
Latest comment: from sildenafil citrate 100mgWhat basketball team do you root for. It's clear you have no positive things to say about the sixers. ...
It's always a challenge to find the picture to put atop a recap post, tonight I decided to go with the angriest rich guy in Detroit, Pistons owner Tom Gores. He looks like I felt at the end of previous five Sixers games. Not tonight, though. For one night, at least, the Sixers looked like a powerhouse again in a demonstrative win. (game capsule).
Admittedly, it's a game late, but it's time to take a look at our fourth chunk of the 2011-2012 season for your Philadelphia 76ers. After a 4-7 showing in the third eleven, the schedule doesn't get any easier for this stretch, which will take us past the trade deadline.

...losses. But thankfully, following immediately after the fifth loss in the string comes five straight off days. Houston outlasted the Sixers in an ugly game tonight, a game the Sixers desperately needed but predictably coughed up. (game capsule).
When a coach finds himself at the helm of a team circling the drain, sometimes he tries to mix things up. You could call it grasping at straws. You might call it pressing the panic button. Whatever you call it, Doug Collins did it tonight when he started Andres Nocioni at power forward. The result: A humongous hole in the first quarter the team could never dig themselves out of. (game capsule).
Latest comment: from L. A. SteveI think I do, in fact, I'm sure I do!...
When the Sixers take the floor tonight in Memphis, Marreese Speights will most likely make his 25th start for the Grizzlies. In three-plus seasons in Philly, Speights started a grand total of 4 games. Speights has put up gaudy numbers in a couple of games (20/18, 19/9, 12/15) which has left many Sixers fans asking "Why couldn't he play here." Well, the gaudy numbers are great, but at the end of the day, he's still the same Marreese.
Latest comment: from mymanjruepaper turned out well, thanks...
Kevin Love calmly sank two free throws with 0.1 showing on the clock to extinguish the Sixers hopes of snapping a two-game losing streak on the road in Minnesota. Two things led to Love getting to the line, but those two things were merely symptoms, not the cause of the loss. (game capsule).
