If the comeback had resulted in a win we could've chalked this game up as a couple of bad quarters and then a resolve that would serve them well come playoff time. But it didn't. So all what we're left with is just a pitiful effort, again, for about 30 minutes. Then a furious comeback which left just enough time to blow a lead late in the game. The worst of both world's.

The amazing thing about the Sixers loss at Milwaukee on Saturday night isn't how badly they were beaten, it's that it was really the first game they should've won, but didn't, in nearly two months. Tonight, they need to get back on track, they can't afford even a week-long dip at this point of the season.

After an atrocious first couple months of their NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers have rebounded well and are playing some of the hottest ball in the league. Currently, the Sixers are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. If the playoffs started today, the Sixers would play the Chicago Bulls in the first round. However, with 16 games to play both the six (0.5 games behind) and even the five (4 games behind) seed seem to be obtainable goals for the Sixers.

What we saw on the floor tonight from the Sixers in no way resembled the basketball we've seen from them this season. If you want to dwell on it as some sort of indicator, that's your prerogative. For me, and more importantly for the team, it's just a blip. It's over, delete it from your memory banks and get ready for the Jazz on Monday night.

I feel like we've become a bit lost as a fan base. The Laker dominance of the past couple of seasons. LeBron and Bosh joining Wade and playing the victim. The media love affair over Melo and Amare, together at last. All these things have perhaps diffused our laser of hatred for a certain chowder-loving franchise into a mere floodlight. Well, tonight that's going to have to change.

19,283 lucky fans packed the Wells Fargo Center last night to see the Sixers take on OKC in what unfortunately wound up being a heartbreaking overtime loss. As an outside observer, watching from home, this was easily the best crowd I've seen for a home Sixers game since the final game at the Spectrum two seasons ago. I hope this is the beginning of a trend that will carry over right into the playoffs, and if you're thinking about maybe attending a game, there are a few big matchups on the upcoming schedule.

It's taken several hours, but I feel like I can finally remove myself from the emotion involved in last night's 110-105 overtime loss enough to find some meaning. What went wrong? What went right? Who (if anyone) is to blame? Let's discuss.

The prevent offense run by the Sixers for the final three minutes of regulation is a perfect way to give a game away. Andre Iguodala was put on Kevin Durant's list and Jrue Holiday was shoved to the side after outplaying Russell Westbrook for three quarters. Tough loss to swallow, all things considered.
