Click for full story. I'm doing my best to erase this past sports weekend from my mind. Perhaps the best way to forget about the past is to look to the future. It's with that in mind that a goal needs to be set. A tangible, medium-range goal for this young, frustrating, yet over-achieving team.

In this column, GoSixers has aggregated the relevant stuff from the chats. You'll see stuff in here that will make you scratch your head, but keep in mind, these guys are experts.

Click for full story. I hate to put a loss on one player, and I'm really not going to do it tonight, but come on. Lou Williams is an 82% shooter from the line. If he hits one of two with 6 seconds left on the clock, none of us are looking for the nearest bridge with an eye toward taking a leap.

Click for full story. With the memory of a 45-point drubbing burned into their minds, the Sixers took the court tonight shorthanded, but determined to send a message. It took 48 minutes of non-stop energy, but they got the job done. Without Andre Iguodala, Jrue Holiday and Jodie Meeks caught fire in the third while Elton Brand and Thad Young proved too much for Chicago on the defensive end. What was probably the best quarter of basketball this team has played in over year was enough to power them to their 15th win of the season.

Click for full story. The last time the Bulls and Sixers met, Chicago pounded the Sixers by 45 points, and it really wasn't that close. The Bulls were merciless, and the Sixers did absolutely nothing to show any spine in the face of the reaming. The last time the Bulls played, period, they lost to the lowly Nets and their power forward spent the final 14 minutes on the bench, steaming. This game shouldn't lack for emotion from these two teams, both with something to prove.

Click for full story. We're still at least three days away from Andre Iguodala's return from achilles tendinitis, but something Bob Cooney said in a video yesterday got me thinking. What's going to happen when Iguodala gets back on the floor?

Click for full story. At times, watching the Sixers' halfcourt offense can be painful. The movement isn't quite there, there's too much dribbling, not enough spacing. For long stretches, the Sixers can be forced to settle for long jumpers. The stretches are usually broken up by pretty drives, or maybe a nice screen-and-pop to Brand for a 13-foot jumper. But overall, the halfcourt offense seems to have gotten worse this season, despite the improved play of Jrue Holiday. Why?

Click for full story. Don't let Wall's garbage-time, stat-padding fool you. Jrue Holiday absolutely dominated this basketball game. He carried them to a big win in the first game back from the Ice Capades trip with some big help from Lou Williams and left John Wall still wondering what it feels like to win a road game in the NBA.

Click for full story. Time is short this afternoon, luckily, the prologue to tonight's epic battle between the hapless Wizards and the no-longer homesick Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers is easy to boil down into a few key moments. An off-balance, desperation three by Cartier Martin, and a Jrue Holiday foul on a 40-foot three point attempt by John Wall, unbelievable.

Click for full story. When you're trying to predict a team's record prior to the season, the first hurdle is always minutes played. When you're dealing with a new coach and a young roster fresh off a dismal season under a terrible coach, it's quite a tricky proposition. Let's take a look at the actual minute distribution, extrapolate it to a full season, laugh at how far off I was back in September and even look at some production metrics.

Click for full story. When absolutely nothing was working offensively for Doug Collins and his Sixers squad, he looked down to the end of his bench and essentially decided to pull his goalie late in the fourth quarter. He tapped Jason Kapono to come in and hopefully provide an offensive spark. The crazy thing is that the move actually worked for exactly 2:30, then all hell broke loose while Collins sat idly by.
