With Dwight Howard and Courtney Lee sidelined for game six tomorrow night, the gut reaction of everyone is going to be to punch the Sixers' ticket to game seven back in Orlando on Saturday. That would be a very, very big mistake.

Orlando Sentinel beat writer George Diaz says Howard has been suspended for tomorrow night's game for elbowing Sam Dalembert in the head. No confirmation anywhere else, yet. UPDATE: It's confirmed.

The AP is reporting Courtney Lee has a fractured sinus and will miss game 6 in Philly tomorrow night. He may be done for the series. The same story says the league office is reviewing Howard's elbow on Sam for possible suspension. It's kind of ironic that had the refs followed the rulebook and ejected Howard for he elbow Lee wouldn't have gotten hurt.

I woke up this morning not knowing what to expect on the Dwight Howard suspension front. In the Daily Dime, John Hollinger thinks the league would gladly suspend the Polish Hammer in this situation, but probably won't suspend Howard. Henry Abbott wonders why Getty Images doesn't have a nice still shot of the elbow. JE Skeets thinks a suspension is coming. After the jump, we'll look at the video, and also the video of some other plays that drew suspensions from the league.

After playing their worst game of the series in a killer game 5 loss, the fate of the Sixers season will rest in the hands of the man pictured above for the next 24 hours or so. Dwight Howard should be suspended for game six. The league has a clear history on things like this. He intentionally elbowed Sam Dalembert in the face, it was not in the heat of action. It was a cheap shot and he should be sitting out game 6. We all remember what happened in the Suns/Spurs series a couple of years back, the league made it very clear that exceptions are not made in the playoffs. No we have to wait to see if they follow the same credo in this situation.

For most of the game on Sunday, the Orlando Magic sent a hard double at Andre Iguodala whenever a screen was set for him on the perimeter. It was predictable, it was sometimes effective and it was also the reason they so easily tied the game up at 81. They drew up a perfect play to exploit the double, and I'd like to talk about some other things this particular defensive strategy could open up for the Sixers.

It's really a shame that this series is being relegated to obscurity by the powers that be in the mainstream media and the league itself. Honestly, when you look around there are two first-round series completely up for grabs at this point, the Sixers/Magic and Boston/Chicago. After the jump, I want to talk about the psychological edge and who could possibly hold it after four tough games.

Just a few random thoughts about the first 4 games. One, how about Andre Miller covering ground, elevating and getting a hand on Courtney Lee's three-point attempt with 1:05 left in the fourth last night. Orlando did everything right on that play, and 90% of the time, that's an absolutely clean look. No one wanted that win more last night than Miller.

This series could be over. The Sixers could have swept. At the same time, Orlando could've swept. Instead, we're tied 2-2 and even though the Magic have stolen home court advantage back, this series is far from decided.
