Click for full story. I'd like to switch gears a little bit today, remove the focus from the draft and the hunt for a head coach, and try to figure out if there's any way the Sixers can get out from under Willie Green, both Willie the player and Willie the contract. We'll explore after the jump.

Click for full story. This edition of crazy trade ideas that will never happen features a deal with the Sacramento Kings that would bring us a coveted shooter at the two guard, but leave us without a center. Let's take a look after the jump.

Click for full story. It's time to take a look back on the 2008-2009 season, and assess how each player performed. More importantly, though, I want to pay close attention to how the pieces on this young team progressed. It's Willie Green's turn today. Stats, trends, highlights and lowlights after the jump.

Click for full story. The answers to your pop quiz: Player A was Lou Williams in 2007-2008, player B was Lou Williams in 2008-2009, Player C was Willie Green in 2008-2009. OK, so it was a bit of a trick question, but there's a reason behind it. After the jump we'll talk about exactly how bad Lou has been, and I'll say something I never, ever thought I'd say.

Click for full story. The Sixers played an inferior team at the Wach tonight under tough circumstances. They lost Elton Brand for the season earlier in the day, they were coming off a buzzer-beater loss to the Celtics and an epic offensive collapse to the Nets. To say they needed a win would be a gross understatement. Their starters showed up ready to dominate. Their bench did not. Ultimately, Tony DiLeo put the guys who really wanted it on the court when it mattered most and they brought it home.
Latest comment: from Brian
Yeah? He openly supports Willie, huh?...

Click for full story. Tom Moore reports that Coach DiLeo thinks it's still to early to put EB back in the starting lineup. DiLeo also seems to be on the fence about who will take a seat, it does, however, appear to be narrowed down to Willie or Thad. No small-lineups with Brand at center, at least not to start the game.

Click for full story. Now that Elton Brand is back on the floor, I feel we're running out of time to state our case against Willie Green staying in the starting lineup when EB is ready to go 30 minutes per. This post will be short on words, heavy on stats. After the jump you'll find what I believe is an extremely compelling argument for burying Green on the end of the bench and running with a starting lineup of Sam, EB, Thad, Iggy and Miller.

Click for full story. It just so happens that the actual mid-way point of the season was yesterday's loss to the Mavericks. The good news, for us, is that we have four off days to take a look back and evaluate this team and its players over the first 41. Today, we'll take a look at the guards, tomorrow the wings, Thursday the bigs and then Friday we'll tackle the team as a whole.

Click for full story. I consider it a special treat to have had the chance to watch LeBron James play in a home-and-home because usually I don't get to see so much of his game. I occasionally catch a game here and there, but I almost never watch wire to wire. Over the past three days, I got to do that twice. I came away with no question in my mind that he's not only the best player in the game, but he's also the best passer. My only regret is that his greatness happened at the Sixers expense.
