As Jason from Bleeding Green Nation pointed out, the timing is extremely suspicious. This team came into the offseason with a clear realization that major changes needed to be made. I expect another one to happen very soon. My guess: Larry Fitzgerald. Lito Sheppard and a pick to the Cardinals for Fitzgerald with an absolute monster contract extension for the WR shortly thereafter.
The Eagles just got very young at LB, it seems like Omar Gaither, Stewart Bradley and Chris Gocong will be your starters at LB come the season, unless another move is made between now and then, or a rook is brought in to challenge for a position.
The last time the Eagles were this aggressive in the offseaon was 2004. How did it turn out? A trip to the Super Bowl.
I have to admit, however, I'm going to miss the "T.K.O." chants this season.

Yeah I thought cutting Spikes was a curious move as well. Larry Fitz would be a great addition but he'll be hard to get. I'd love the Bears to go after Fitz too, but it'll be hard to match picks and Lito.
