It was a rough weekend here, and it really had nothing to do with the draft. I had limited Internet-connectivity, then attended a funeral today. Fortunately, the sports world moves on no matter what happens in our personal lives.
I didn’t get a chance to recap the Eagles second-day picks in the draft, so check out Bleeding Green Nation’s extensive coverage here and here.
I’d like to thank Iggle-Fan-Stuck-In-Vermont Mix Master Mu for digging up this video of the Eagles seventh round pick, Nat Ilaoa.
You absolutely have to love this guy, and I can only hope that Andy draws up a couple of screens for him.
In other Eagles news, ESPN just had a report saying that Reid had a face-to-face meeting with McNabb today to ease any tension the Kevin Kolb pick may have caused for numero cinco. Nothing much came out of it according to ESPN.
The best news for all Eagles fans which transpired over the past couple days is the fact that this guy:

...is no longer our starting strongside linebacker. In fact, he's no longer on the team. Jones has been a bust from day one, and his video intros on Monday Night Football were an embarrassment to the team. Hopefully, the Giants will take Jones back so we can see him make zero plays for the G-Men this year.

I was so perplexed after the first day of the draft I didn't even bother looking at what the Eagles got in Day two. Just what did the Iggles pick up anyway?
And when did the Eagles release Dhani Jones?
Doesn't Dhani being cut make our draft an A+???? I'm excited to see what Gocong and Bradley can do. They are some big boys. I've also been trying to find where my boy David Ball is going to wind up. I think he signed as an undrafted free agent with DA Bears. He is a Vermonter not a track star but a good WR. He has some amazing hands. I'm just impressed a Vermonter holds any football record. He is so much better then Jerry Rice ever was:)!
I don't know about the draft, but it makes my Wednesday an A+.
